Some of the staff at harbor house are awesome, others are just simply ignorant. I felt like I was being singled out by certain staff members and the tiniest infraction such as feeding leftover food that was headed for the garbage can to my son, got me kicked out and banned for a year. Meanwhile, my abuser was out of jail and could easily find me alone on the street, making it possible to be assaulted again.

Single mom and was in here with my son the staff are nkt very nice some are but some feel like they are just there working for the money not the women I was declined a icm worker and both times was told they had no space and it to me felt like likes your only aloud to Stay 21 days windows are smashed holes in walls and when they kick you out they don't care if you have anywhere to go or not they also will go in to your room and pick up your child with out asking you first so dont recommend bringing your children here on of my friends was kicked out of the shelter at 11pm and told she can't come back for a week she was stuck sleeping in her car with no food or blankets I would recommend the taber shelter have never been there but have heard really good things about it

Lovely staff and good fitness area. Sure, some equipment is older but it all works and is kept very clean. The showers are super high pressure and very warm, a nice treat after a hard workout.

Good organization. Some competant/ caring staff. Variety of different community services offered. Cares about the community and people as a whole. Shelter needs some work but which one doesn't!?

Well i was only doing some work to the building, but the staff seemed nice, and they do some cool stuff for the community. I hope this organization dosen't migrate, and disappear like the YMCA staff did. I thought they were taking over the new Rec. Center on the west side but i didnt see any familiar faces when i visited. Btw sorry for all the jack hammering and swearing.

The YWCA has great programs for everyone - it is not just the gym! The main gym is co-ed and there is also a women's only gym as well! I recommend that everyone go in and check out the YWCA!

The best place when you need a place.So much compassion and understanding.I was truly blessed to end up there.I fell down and they stood me up and helped me to stay that way.Not just a shelter...it was my home.You guys are the BEST!!!
