After donating to the World Vision for over 20 years, about 4 to 5 months ago, I've called & advised them to cancel the monthly draw from my credit card, rather I'll give them a lump sum at the end of the year. Last week I've noticed that they're still charging me monthly non-stop. I called them again, this time the lady said there's no record of me called, other than the communication from couple years ago. Looks like the last person took my call didn't do anything to my request and she didn't even leave a record of the call but keeping debiting my credit card. I hope this time they'll be responsible and do up to the client's request. I felt like they don't care for you say but the money only. If you're going to give & help, better to give cheque than leaving a credit card number with these people who're not responsible for the organization or the donor.

Good group, concept, values and mission. I prefer getting involved with children rather than giving money. Be careful if you don't read your email or check spam - they automatically renew donations in January without your direct confirmation and approval, and you can't cancel your account online by yourself.

Lovely and colorful office, friendly people, well maintained, they have a lot of volunteer opportunities, the receptionist was a welcoming and polite, the office also had pictures of children from around the world whose lives were changed by world vision. The work they do is amazing and if you would like to support them do check their website and sponsor a child

Great organization doing wonderful work. But do not phone me at home soliciting funds and please do something about your call centre! Fifteen minutes on hold to change information is thirteen minutes too long. I gave up, I’ll mail it in, probably faster.

I had a foster child for 12 years. I only annually did I receive a report or a picture. Every month sometimes weekly World Vision requested money for some urgent international matter. I sent extra money to cover birthday presents and a party. World Vision would send a blank card and request additional mininum donations. After my divorce and sudden cancer illness I found my financial position has changed and the child had turned 18. I was not working so I cancelled. The World Vision staff said the child still needed support and made me feel like I was abandoning him. "Don't worry I am sure we can find someone who can continue to support
him " . Really!!!
Just before he turned 18 they sent a scrap of paper obvious photocopy with a square and a triangle on top? Saying it was a picture he drew? Hi highly doubt that it was artwork from him.

World vision is great... But seriously, stop sending me all these random things. Just send them to the kids! I don't need to add a personal message. You guys just do what you do best. Help kids. I wish there was an option to say "just send my kid whatever you were gonna send to me."

They are a scam, I was sponsoring two children one who's mother's name is Elikiand, the other child's mother's name is Memca.

We were going to cancel just due to finances, and they sent us two pictures one of each Of the children, and their “mother”

The mother they posed with is the same person in each picture even though their letters said they were not related.

There was a girl and a boy, in the girls letter she clearly states she has no brothers. And in the boys letter he says he has one sister, whose name does not math the name of the girl I am sponsoring.

Not impressed. They should be shut down. Just door to door robbery.

I can't believe people think they are legit

The door to door salesman invaded my personal space, helped himself into my home sat on my stairs and asked for a glass a water trying to be nice I said yes to the water. I was home alone and felt very uncomfortable. He was making remarks that I was very pretty, did I just get back from the gym, I look like a fun loving person and he would not take no for an answer said it was like getting coffee everyday which is true but I was not in the position to be making payments when I’m paying my own debts off and explained I was maternity leave providing for my own LO. He still insisted I look at the photos and got very upset and said he was going to cry when I kept saying no thank you and sorry. Finally 20 minutes later he left I locked the door right away and actually called a friend to come over as I was frightened.
