Stayed in the van last summer and forgot to leave a review within the Airbnb time frame.
The van was immaculately clean and comfortable.
I really enjoyed the walking trails.

We booked Wild Roots B&B for 2 nights. We arrived @ Wild Roots on a Thursday afternoon in Sept. The place was set up as an open concept kitchen, living area and bedroom all in one long hall. Things we noticed first, A stale, oily smell in the entire place.
The Bed was tastefully decorated, good quality, clean sheets & Duvet & a decorative coverlet.
The living area was organized & decorated appropriately for the context of it being on a farm, except for all the clutter, lacks, malfunctions, and disorganization.
The living room area and the bedroom are adjacent to each other & at the other end of this long hall is the kitchen with a sink, small & extremely noisy & leaking fridge. We sent messages to Nicole about the leak (and kept mopping the floors for our own safety)- Nicole never showed up.
A dirty Keurig coffee maker, lots of smelly dishes in the cupboards, a microwave, some very dingy kitchen towels, dish soap and other odds & ends. There was no STOVE, or anything resembling one, so there was no chance of making frying a couple of eggs or a cup of tea - I made my tea using the Keurig, but the tea turned up with white foam on top, didn’t steep and I threw it out.
The space between the bedroom/living room end and the kitchen end, was an area the size of a medium bedroom (no walls) of odds and ends stored behind a couple of Chinese screen partitions. Some of these storage items were placed out in the open without any effort to cover the unsightly scene, - these included a bunch of kitchen & desk cupboards, a stove hood, and other miscellaneous items. The hep of stuff behind the screens were higher than the screen height & visible. The ceiling Styrofoam panels had several unsightly leak spots.
The fluorescent, fluttering ceiling lights gave the place a cold and impersonal & uncomfortable feel yet.
There was laundry left in the dryer.
There was a wooden box in the living room for firewood to be used in the wood-burning stove, but all there was in there was the wood shavings & not even one log of wood.

The living area was connected by a small hallway entrance to the yoga studio. The yoga studio had its own door on the other side, which could be accessed from the outside directly without a lock, and we could not lock it from the inside. This was a security concern, as there was no way of locking the doors between the yoga studio and the living area. The main front entrance door had 2 locks, one of which did not work and had a note on it to that effect. There was no switch for outside porch lights. The first evening when we returned to Wild Roots, we had to go back to our car in the pitch-black dark- navigating the very narrow deck, to get a flashlight. The second night when we returned, the string of Christmas lights on the porch were on but were shut off after about an hour, without us having the option to keep them on for getting things out of our vehicle or just sitting outside on the deck.
This was our first Air B & B experience & needless to say that we overpaid & are utterly dissatisfied. No efforts were made to make the place clean, inviting, comfortable and functional or minimal at best. When we pay $136 / night for a rural place in Saskatchewan, I expect a lot better than this. A typical hotel room would have been cleaner, more comfortable, organized, cheaper and more appealing with breakfast served. Another thing of note was the fact that several pages were ripped out of your guest book and the ones remaining were the favorable reviews!!
Unfortunately, we missed the deadline for posting our review on the B & B page, so we are posting it here, which you will most likely delete it.

What exactly is the unfortunate thing about my late review? would an early review change your excuses? I doubt it.
Saying that your clutter is for the future betterment of your rental is like deciding to sell a house while renovating it with the all the mess around.
There certainly was not a hot plate provided in your rental.

Wild Roots Studio is the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful, refreshing getaway! The studio itself features beautiful wood flooring, a large space to work in and the perfect atmosphere to run any kind of retreat or workshop. The grounds are very well kept and the trails are an amazing space to get away from the business and stresses of life. You will love every second you spend here and will miss it the second you leave!
