I attended the ECEA course, it was fully online, everything went fine, my advisor Nicole was also helpful whenever I had any issues or questions.
The only thing I would suggest for the college is to provide study materials for the future students, since I was told we’d get a digital version of the textbook before enrolling but were not provided any.

Overall the experience was okay, our instructor Mantaj should get the credit for that since she was extremely professional and helpful during our classes.

I just completed my speaking test with Dr. Anita Verma for the English Language Proficiency Assessment. She was very polite, helpful, and respectful, giving me a lot of new points for speaking and advice for writing. I found her to be very friendly, and I truly enjoyed our conversation. I really appreciate your support, professor, in helping me succeed in the exam!

Professor Kuljeet is perfect HCA instructor. She skillfully conducts the lessons herself bringing valuable information into each lesson not forgetting the small details to avoid misunderstanding of students . In return the understudied persistence which she demonstrates is incredible; she consistently directs us back towards asking about the unit material despite repetition and is always very kind in providing elaborate and assessed responses in addition to examples. We had really great time with her during classes. Being a person and also a teacher she also makes sure that her class is interesting as she encourages all the children to engage in her activities in terms of teaching . she applies a lot of examples from day to day life. It also very much contributes positively to attitude . She has outstanding understanding and-confidence factor that makes her a teacher.

Do Not Waste Your Money – Unprofessional and Disorganized

My sister attended Western Community College for the EA program, and it was a complete disaster. She paid $10,000 for a program that was poorly run, misleading, and downright disrespectful to students. The school initially claimed the program was fully online, only to change it to a hybrid model with little notice, leaving students struggling to adjust.

The main instructor was absolutely horrible—rude, unprofessional, and condescending. She treated students with disrespect, especially those who were not fluent in English, often talking down to them instead of offering support. One time, my sister simply answered a text from her kids, and the teacher’s response was, “Are your kids dying?” Completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. My poor sister was so stressed while attending because of her teacher! I have witnessed myself with my own ears this teacher be absolutely NASTY to the students!

On top of that, the school constantly made last-minute changes and expected students to comply without question. There was no consideration for the impact this had on their lives, schedules, or financial investment.

If you’re considering this school—DON’T. They take your money and provide an awful experience in return. A school should support and uplift its students, not deceive them and treat them like they don’t matter. Western Community College fails in every way.

I recommend Western Community College to anyone pursuing further education. I did my HCA course from here . The institution provides exceptional services, well-structured courses, and dedicated faculty committed to student success.I want to express my gratitude to three outstanding instructors who played a crucial role in my learning journey
Kuljeet Kaur: A kind, supportive, and understanding mentor who guided me through my practicum.
• Sherin Matthew: A brilliant theory instructor with clear and engaging teaching methods.
• Gurpreet Samra: A knowledgeable and inspiring educator who enhanced my academic experience.

For quality education and professional growth, Western Community College is an excellent choice.

I had the most disappointing experience at this college, and I strongly advise anyone considering it to think twice before enrolling. This is the worst college I have ever been to in Canada. Here’s why:

Sweet Promises at Payment, Zero Support When Needed

At the time of payment, the staff was incredibly sweet and helpful, making all kinds of promises about the quality of education and support they would provide. However, once the payment was made, their attitude completely changed. When I genuinely needed help, they were unresponsive and demanded extra money for assistance.

Poor Class Management and Unprofessional Faculty

The class management was chaotic. Assignments were not graded on time, which caused unnecessary stress and delays. The lack of timely feedback from the teachers made it difficult to track progress and improve.

Unreasonable Practicum Arrangements

My experience with the practicum placement was even worse. Initially, I was assigned a practicum by the program manager, but due to my wedding, I had to leave Canada for a month and couldn’t join the first placement. Upon returning, I was given a new practicum location that was completely unreasonable.

I live in Surrey, and they placed me in Port Coquitlam, which is over two hours away each way. This meant I spent more than four hours commuting daily. To make matters worse, I work at a bank from 4 PM to 12 AM, and the practicum hours were from 7 AM to 3 PM. Managing both was impossible, and despite requesting a change in location well in advance, the program manager waited until two days before the practicum started to inform me that it couldn’t be changed.

Injury and Lack of Compassion

I attended the practicum for one day but then got injured and couldn’t go the next day. When I returned with a doctor’s note, the instructor told me I couldn’t continue without proper clearance. Even after providing the required documentation, I requested a location change again, explaining my situation, but my request was denied.

Instead, the program manager informed me that I would need to pay an additional $1,250 to arrange another practicum. This was completely unreasonable and showed a total lack of understanding or compassion for students’ struggles.

Financial and Emotional Loss

I invested $10,000 of my hard-earned money into this program, working 16-hour days to afford it. The lack of support, poor management, and constant demands for extra payments have made me feel like I’ve wasted my time and money.

Final Thoughts

This college has no regard for its students’ well-being or success. They are only interested in taking your money and offering little to no support in return. I would never recommend this college to anyone. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, please stay away from this institution.

Worst college ever. Save yourself the stress and financial loss.

I recently completed my Health Care Assistant program at WCC, and I had the privilege of being mentored by Clinical Professor Mandeep Kaur Sandhu. Her exceptional teaching methods and dedication to her students made a significant impact on my learning experience. She was always patient, approachable, and committed to ensuring we understood both the theoretical and practical aspects of the program. Her guidance during clinical training helped me build confidence and develop the skills necessary for my career. I am truly grateful for her support and mentorship throughout the program.
