I recently received treatment at the Parry Sound Hospital ER and couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful care I received. Every person I interacted with over the course of three days was caring, thorough, friendly, and professional. I also noticed how compassionately they treated others who weren't patients but were clearly down on their luck. Their kindness extended to everyone, reflecting the true heart of this hospital.

Hi,

I recently went to Killbear Provincial Park for a day trip with my husband, but a few hours into our visit, I began to feel extremely unwell. My stomach felt like it was tearing, and I experienced cold sweats. It was both frightening and unbearable. I called 911, and we requested an ambulance because I felt like my life was in danger.

From the moment the ambulance arrived, I received exceptional care from everyone involved. The hospital staff quickly diagnosed me with an ectopic pregnancy and promptly took me to the operating room. Every member of the team, from the paramedics to the doctor on duty, and all the nurses and the surgeon, treated me with remarkable care and respect. They truly saved my life. I am incredibly grateful for the support and professionalism I received, and I am amazed at how close I came to a tragic outcome.

The care I received at the hospital was nothing short of angelic. Thank you for everything ? and God bless everyone of you ?

I had to take my son into the Emergency dept 4 days in a row first to diagnose then to treat a serious infection. On every visit we were treated with utmost kindness, care and our time was respected. I know it’s not everyone’s experience, but the longest wait to see the doctor was 2 hours. Staff we saw were wonderful. Thank you WPS.

Admitted myself into emergency at 5:30’ish for an chainsaw injury on my left leg i was greeted warmly. Although the wait time to have stitches took some time, the greeting staff and nursing staff were absolutely fantastic. The er doctor ( Dr. Witt) which was called in to help with over worked er room. Dr Witt along with the entire staff were exceptional. Thank you so much for being kind, professional and caring. Patrizio

We were heading home from a camping trip, my partner felt very sick, we stopped into the emergency and they took such wonderful care for her! They also found a shady spot for our dog and brought him some ice water. The staff here are absolutely amazing, full of compassion and empathy, made this stressful situation so much better, I would highly recommend this hospital and want to give my sincerest thanks and appreciation to the staff, you are all heros!!!

Doctors dont know how to actually do there job ive seen more people come out with the same problem they went in for but nothing done other then a "your fine" but the pain is still there and still cant sleep? Yep there fine just probably gonna go clinically insane from trying to deal with pain management or lack of sleep from pain

A huge thank to the Dr.s and nursing staff at WPSHC. Recently I've needed to use their Emergency services several times and was also hospitalized for a short period. Each time I was triaged and treated in a timely manner. Everyone was professional, compassionate and competent. I couldn't have been in better hands.

Every time I have an emergency and I have to come to this hospital the waiting time is a minimum of 8 hours and I would understand if the waiting room was full, but there are no more than 5 people.

I know there are priorities but on this occasion my 2-year-old son had a strong blow to his face and no one has been kind enough to check him, I guess the mistreatment of adults here has normalized him, but now also the children? in the room we are 3 people with babies and no one has gone out to attend them.

This is really frustrating and if it's with kids, you definitely have to look for another place, it's amazing as a joke, because after all in emergencies NOTHING is an emergency.

And after so many hours, the doctor didn't even take the trouble to check it, he just passed us and told us to relax that it would be okay, but I must be grateful that he gave me 3 bands for the wound. Could this be worse? To be exact was on the night shift, it's definitely the worst of all!!!
