OK I'm back I'm here visiting for the next 2 days on standby for the free income tax clinic to prepare your individual taxes. If an appointment cancels I get in. I used to always use north end women's centre but now I'm situated in west side and omg do I love this part of town so much to see and do all around.

In need of help and in a very volatile environment that does not support my wellbeing, called multiple times with no answer so I finally left a voicemail explaining this and no one called me back... if you need help I wouldn't recommend them I would recommend the north end women's resource center as they actually help women who are facing unsafe/critical life circumstances.

This is my first time going here and I phoned because I was getting off of work and I asked if they had enfamil which the lady said that they did and that she would put my name on it, I showed up just before they closed and they tried to refuse me the formula when I stated that I phoned and I was just getting off of work and they came out with Similac My son has dietary issues and he can't have nothing like that he's strictly on enfamil so sadly they couldn't help me

They make this dystopian world a little closer to a utopia. Everyone here is very welcoming and helpful. Molly Dunbar, the representative I was working with, is an amazing human being. Just talking to her feels very relaxing. I hope I am able to make a contribution to this amazing place someday in the future. Godspeed ❤️✨

They help you. I've been coming here since 2020 and the women here are incredible in assistance with baby food to ER hampers to housing. They do an amazing job. I would love to volunteer.

This is a great place to come and rest. Your weary bones have a cup of tea or coffee. Talk to other women maybe sign up for a class or 2 or if you just want to talk to somebody a counselor they have friendly staff and volunteers here.

It's a place with lots of resources but with very little barriers when there should be. Some of the staff are great. I wouldn't call the dropin safe space for women however. They serve men at the door and those men hang out outside and harras other women and try to sell meth when the staff aren't around and will walk in too. There is considerable amounts of illegal drug use in the bathrooms. A week does not go by without having to witness belligerent ignorant racist comments out of clients using the drop in. If your hungry you need a shower or resources they have them and know of them. And "some" of the staff are great. But it's not a safe space. Sometimes it is.

I stumbled upon two wonderful employees helping out a community member in distress. They did an amazing job keeping the community member safe, relaxed and cared for until the ambulance was called. Firefighters were the first to respond and took over the scene. The firefighters then proceeded to demonstrate why the emergency response system needs to change and decolonize, as the trust between community member and responder deteriorated almost immediately.
Keep up the amazing work you do in the community. What you’re doing is making a difference.
