I'm apart of a non-profit organization Windsor Women Supporting Women (WWSW) and we are BIG Supporters of the Welcome Center Shelter and have supported them for many years. They do such great work in the community and is a Blessing to those experiencing homelessness. If you are looking for an organization to donate to this is a great choice ?

The staff at the shelter were amazing. They were friendly, helpful, non-judgmental, and caring. We stayed for 2 weeks and were well cared for. The housing worker was able to secure housing for us. We now have a home and I am so grateful! The staff were always attentive and always available if I needed them. Thank you so much for finding us a place to live and making us feel safe and comfortable during our stay!

I have been at the shelter for several weeks. I am extremely impressed by how professional and courteous each and every staff member is. A special thanks to Tammy for always wearing her beautiful smile... and to Jazz... these girls work so very hard for us. I am beyond thankful for the warm welcome... and the nun judgemental attitude every staff member has. Please keep up the wonderful work.

I’m extremely disappointed with the attitude of the staff, I’m a mental health worker and tried working with the welcome Center to do a pre intake and was met with horrible attitude from the worker who told me to call back in 10 minutes In which I called back in 15 and was told “You literally only called me 2 minutes ago”. Then I was told they’re too busy and to call back in 3 hours. They definitely need to act more professional and compassionate when dealing with anyone while working at a shelter. I understand that shelters are busy as I work for one too but we don’t need to be met with disrespectful attitude. Do better welcome Center.

I am sure the service is probably great, but if a family on dissability with a child with baby bonus, is not eligible for shelters (due to the fact we ''make too much'') yet rent takes 75% of our income, then who do you actually help? just the homeless, only once their on the street and theyre child is at risk of being taken, i think these services need to be reviewed cause making 2000$ a month is not too much when a 1 bedroom apartment is 1450$ a month...

This place helped me out incredibly. I know it was the staff at the time that was great. They rotate out their workers VERY fast so your experience is based off you, your case worker and how well you get along with roomates.
I changed my entire life for the better because my case worker said if you want to live near your brother then mabye you should move there. I came to mississauga and was staying at a salvation army which was total hell in comparison. Ppl there said they have more freedom in prison...and it was so bad there I actually believed them. So it was a stark contrast that proved the welcome center is a great place that gave me hope and helped with solid advice.
My life now is incredibly better. I have a great medical team backing me here and a great apartment, I just had to go about things differently And think outside the box in order to get a place.
I have a great freindship with my very first roomate who has also flourished.
I went back to thank my worker but she was alredy rotated out. So I guess thank you for changing my life!!!
