Deleting reviews too try too make yourselves look better? Wow. Here's my review again for you're loser "society"
I don't know why this place seems to keep the "responders" that don't actually care meanwhile the ones who are good at theor jobs never stick around. Do they get thrown out for actually caring or something? They listen to you and they're kind, meanwhile you hear the ones who don't care messing around in the background. Why don't the ones who care ever stick around, crisis line? What's that about? Are the ones laughing in the background and talking about other callers and making fun of us in need while I'm trying to talk to someone and get some support the people you like to keep around? Seems like if anyone cares too much, it's bad because it raises the standard for everybody else. And we can't have that, I guess. Do they quit? Are they fired? Where do they go? Not a good sign for this type of place.

My first attempt at calling this number was so horrible I hung up. It took 5 years for me to try calling again, hoping that experience was a one off. Unfortunately it wasn’t. Calling this line for me has been like pouring gasoline on a fire. There is a severe lack of trauma informed awareness and I think I get more genuine emotion and connection from Siri than these folks.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this is for anyone else who’s at the end of their rope and has a similar experience. Please hang on, you’re not alone. There is SO much better help out there, I wouldn’t still be here if there wasn’t.

Notice the reviews ever a1 or 5. Click on the 5 ratings the 3 I clicked on all promoted business. 2 were guides another person talking about tours and the local laundromat. Pretty pathetic place for this. Every other review was a1. Example phoning the crisis is like throwing gas on a fire. If you want to be heared but no solution and told we are there for short term emotional support then hung up on because you want a solution this is the place to call.

Whoever is responsible for hiring is doing a poor job. The people on the phone are clearly just there for the paycheck, just twiddling their thumbs until you stop talking so they can end the call. I have better conversations with underpaid, overworked cashiers at Walmart.

Absolutely horrified. I called six weeks ago, and a young lady answered. She acted bored and disinterested, saying "yeah🙄" after everything I said, acting like whatever my problems were weren't interesting enough for her. Then she was snotty and hung up on me. I called again today, and it sounded like the same girl. She just said "crisis line", and I said hello a couple of times, and then she hung up on me. How is treating people who are extremely upset like garbage going to help them. Scared to call again.

I just spoke with a wonderful human being and her name is Bella. I'm new to the Nanaimo and I only have 10 days clean. I'm so overwhelmed with everything that's going on and where I'm staying is not good for my mental health. As of right now I'm homeless and have my dog. Thank you Bella for listening and encouraging me through this difficult time.

This used to be a helpful number to call. Something has happened though. There are often belligerent people answering the phones. I'm not sure why or how this happened but one can find themselves bullied and hung up on. I'd suggest the suicide hotline if you need a number to call. This number can be not only counterproductive, it can be utterly destructive. Blessings and much love.

Terrible, they ask you what you are calling in for and if it’s not something important they end the call soon.. they like to just get through people and move on
