We have been traveling for over a month and prefer to support smaller towns whenever possible. We called town office regarding campground and were informed it offered washrooms and showers. To register please do so at town office or the Abbey Centre. Not so, locked up and said Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Called and were told only during ball and soccer. Well it is ball and soccer season. Maybe you should consider digital locks like most other small centres

Like everyone else in town I pay a borderline absurd amount in property taxes. I live just off Cottonwood Dr and the picture reasonably sums up what it looks like for the summer. There are also multiple dead trees, and the weeds go to seed and spread through everyones yards. My house is only 6 years old, so if you're shopping for a home in a new area of town you can expect it to be neglected as soon as a new residential area pops up.

Blackfalds has grown over the last number of years from a small community to a large town. The staff here are great and really go the extra mile to ensure that service levels like snow removal are maintained to a high standard.

Fast growing community that cares about it's residents and offers a sustainable alternative to the nearby 'big city' of Red Deer. Due to proximity, probably has a little less commercial development than other communities of similar population.

Disgusted with this town and it's employees. The property taxes are outrageous, absolutely crooked town. Just a bunch of crooks. I will be selling my house and moving as soon as possible.
