Very not happy with Brantfords service I am a disabled person who is in financial hardship. I have asked for a refund for camp as I paid $80 on April 20th for a camp that was occurring in July. I recently lost my house, and everything on April 25th I asked for a refund as I needed it for survival. I was declined to it. Then a month later I get a message from someone in charge saying " are we doing camp or not" - super rude. I said sure unless, I am able to get refund I was declined again. I now have gone to another community service and as long as the management is there I will never be.

Not finding it fair that Salvation Army is not accepting coupons at all their locations. I do a good deed and donate very frequently, and why am I not able to use a coupon at every Salvation Army is beyond me?! Its frustrating.

Visited 2 Salvation Army Stores here in Ottawa----most unprofessional business ever. Tried to talk to the manager but she had no idea of customer service or proper sales etiquette. The stores sell electronic equipment and they don't even know if they work OR have any proper way to test. I don't mind supporting a charity but will hesitate big time now when I did a little digging and finally realized this is just another "used goods" business that is only out for profit----never mind the good folks that donate

We donate a large bag almost monthly. Inside is almost over-stocked due to their quite high pricing policy. I am shocked at some of the prices on well worn items. Seems to me it is a for-profit store and they are getting greedy. Very high profit margins given that the goods are donated. Pricing should be brought down to move goods and satisfy the needs of the needy. Such a shame. Do better SallyAnn.

Good day Salvation Army team. I work around Jane and Lawrence so most days I am too early to punch in at work so before I go to work I drive into Salvation Army the one at 1675 Jane Street. Most of the staff there are very unfriendly; hardly smile and when you try to ask a question they feel easily irritated. But there is this particular lady there I just checked my receipt to fish out her name (Farhina) she is so good to her customers, sometimes looking into her eyes you can see that she is exhausted but non-the-less she is so professional looks you in the eyes and smiles at you, says thank you and tell you to have a good day. She just makes your day and encourages you to keep coming back. Lots of customers have made the exact same comments about her. Thank you Farhina !

It's a shocking realization to me that the Salvation Army no longer has the church in their doctrine. In past years I've attended citadels & was grateful for the works of the SA. While visiting friends this Easter 2024, I was searching the SA web site for an Easter Service. Several citadel web page were from 2019/2020 & nothing current. I called to ask general questions ie: I'm having difficulty working around their web pg. to attend an Easter Service. I am a senior & find the internet challenging. The person had no interest, he was very abrupt and ended the conversation 'just go to any church, go to another church' and hung up on me. I will never donate to the Kettle campaign, never will I donate/or shop at Thrift Shops, nor recommend SA as a charity worthy of supporting. We are indeed in the days of Prophecy and SA has fallen far.

I always donate. I also shop in your thrift stores, but find that the pricing is way out of wack. Your stores years ago had across the board pricing on all items, now your staff randomly prices item based on what they think it's worth.

I had tried to purchase an obviously used/worn pair of ladies boots. Sticker said $6.99. Cashier said no, thats not $6.99 and called someone who randomly said $20. Odd.

These practices make it very hard for low income families to needed items.

Resellers are also making it hard for people on a budget. Perhaps there is a way for low income or homelss people to get an extra discount with proof of income?

Ideas?

I tried to like this org. But I simply cannot deal with their psychological abuse of older women. And yes there is racism. But not the kind you immediately think of. I get that this is a charity but the truth is that they hire bullies. Please do not give to their org.
