I love the Salvation Army and all the ways they help people in the community.
My family has been so blessed by the pantry and hampers. I don’t know what I would do without them! The staff is friendly and supportive. Thank you to all who give to the food bank as well!! Such an amazing organization!

3 Stars only because it's better than Ruth and Naomi's. They wouldn't kick out this guy in my room after he repeatedly threatened me and my roommate! Also they cosign people's B.S, I mean who is it really helping to let some people stay there forever if they aren't going to get help.... The manager is a jerk, some of the staff care and want to help, not all. The food was good when it was good, other times it sucked.

I was evicted from my apartment with my cat and was in a bad way and needed a place for the night.
I went to the Salvation Army on Yale road and was told that they might not be able to find me a place for the night. I had to use the bathroom and was told where it was. I went there and a Native woman told me that they didn’t have any washrooms. I am going through a lot of discomfort right now because I was married to a woman who was part Native.
The Native woman who told there was no washroom available for me to use had an angry upset face. I guess the Salvation Army in Chilliwack is only for acceptable people, a good Christian attitude but it is probably not that uncommon with some people who work there. I felt discriminated against by this Native woman who works for the Salvation Army.

An amazing organization.
Been staying at their homeless shelter for a little bit. They go so far above and beyond in every way. Make you lunches for work. Free lunch and dinner (which they will save for you if you're at work) they do your laundry and it's kept extremely clean all things considered. They help you with housing. Signing up for income assistance or disability. Find employment.

I couldn't be more grateful for the Salvation Army and everyone involved in making this admittedly hard and embarrassing time as comfortable as possible.

Volunteered for 5 yrs.
An amazing charity organization that has been around well over a century.
Always at the front lines during every natural and national disasters, wars, pandemics and any other ways of helping people in need since the late 1800s.

Well they don't always help out everyone cause they're so judgemental so they shouldn't be like that and get to judge people cause everyone has hard times in their lives like me and getting put out on the streets so I'm not very impressed but I'm gonna fight my way myself and never depend on Salvation Army outreach again

Food needs improving, and some staff seem overly power hungry when it comes to dealing with clients. Other than that I'm glad I stay here the services and help are great. the night shift with Elyse and Mike is great, and Shaun the caseworker is unmatched in town.
