Yea, horrible work they are doing lately. We drove through maintenance on 32nd street and they got white spray paint all over our truck. Contacted the city and guess what, got a (roundabout) way of them saying it is not their fault.
Blaming contractor LineWest.ca, who can't be reached and avoids calls. City won't help cover their own work they contract out. Truck has 12k+++ in damage and no reply, no care, horrible. Can't hire a contractor and then pretend they aren't obligated to help correct issues they caused.
Pretty pathetic.

Who ever is on the snow removal crew on taylor drive, thank you for stopping work for a few moments while me and my german Sheppard went by. Hands off of the controls and waited till we cleared the sidewalk

Update for 2024: For two days the “do not park” signs were posted for this year’s spring street cleaning. At least I know where my hard earned money was spent from last year and there’s the small consolation that another new resident senior probably didn’t get fined because of proper signage warnings.

Review from 2023: Just paid my $100 Red Deer ticket fine. The welcome to The City of Red Deer sign should read “You must download the city app immediately when entering city limits!” There had been “no street parking” signs posted 24 hours in advance for utility upgrades and I have moved my vehicle twice no problem. I thought I had been well trained on The City of Red Deer vehicle etiquette. No. Posting “no parking signs” for spring street cleaning was done only 12 hours in advance. Foolish me did not have to drive anywhere in the morning unaware that signs had been posted after 5pm the night before and gone before noon the next day. I was informed of spring cleaning tow procedures when I called the RCMP to report my vehicle stolen. So thank you City of Red Deer for teaching a new senior resident that a lifetime of relying on street signage etiquette does not apply in Red Deer.

Red Deer really needs to work on the snow removal. Lets do the residential areas they say, but leave them no where to park because we cant seem to remove the snow while grading and will make the streets even more narrow.. People who have to park on the street now are parking a block or two away just to find a parking spot because the city pushes the snow up where everyone is to park. This could use some work for sure. RED DEER can do better.

I went to appeal a tickets what was giving my error . And the lady the name Loren was very rude she was witness of the app having a problem and she was continuing saying I have to pay , she was speaking extremely condescending to me , and I was to address her by her name and she walked away ignoring me saying I am not allowed to give my name to you or anyone! However this was by yelled at me by her desk . Since when now the city of Red Deer staff became so rude , and mean . Not humble at all. Very sad . Certainly Ms. Lorena allowing me to say “ YOU LOOK SO MISERABLE AND UNHAPPY AT YOUR JOB “ maybe time for retirement. Be bless because you are so lack of happiness.

WORST snow removal I have ever seen in al of Canada ! I have lived in multiple provinces and cities and Red Deer is by far the WORST! Leaves the roads like wash boards, which RUIN your car! Your literally off roading on the roads here all winter !
Moved here 2 years ago, and am looking to move out of here specifically because the winter roads here ! Too costly to keep repairing ball joints and struts on my car !

I wish we could give negative stars. The city of red deer should be embarrassed LOL they have no idea how to take care of the roads and in the summer the grass, what a joke to live here

Absolutely horrible pay parking. No matter what you have to have a credit card online to park anywhere downtown. This is pathetic. I do believe you have to accept all legal tender offered to pay for city services.
