Only waited on hold for 10 mins. Very kind volunteer answered the phone and took our Manitoba Health card numbers and address. I chose to pick up our hamper as I am sure they are scrambling to find drivers. God Bless all the generous volunteers and those who donated at this difficult time in our lives. My husband is battling cancer at the moment and he is the sole income provider. I never thought we would have to use this service, we are usually the ones donating. But life can change in an instant, please be generous when you can because you never know what life will throw at you in the future. Happy holidays to all and all the best in 2024. 🩷🙏😇

We are involved with the Cheer Board on a number of levels- we make and donate boxes for the hampers, our people volunteer to help pack hampers, and I personally take a couple of days off from work this time of year to deliver hampers. The volunteers are always energetic and dedicated to the task at hand. There are never enough donations or volunteers. Please consider donating your time or contributing to this very important cause. This year, over 20,000 hampers will be delivered and they had to cut that off because they didn't have enough to support the extra 2000 hampers from last year, breaking a year-over-year record for needy Winnipeggers. Everything helps.

I know the phone line is hard to get through too, but it's to be expected around Christmas when people need a bit of help but what The Christmas Cheer board does for so many people/families around the city is just remarkable. I love seeing people help one another. I know that I and my two daughter's ages 9, 14 are very thankful for the previous year of help.

Don't want to come off as ungrateful, anything helps, but not a $50 food voucher for a family of four. Most of that goes to a turkey if your lucky. What do you do after that? I suspect something shady is going on there. The Free Press, and local news stations are always looking for stories.
