They have helped me with building my life again .with clothes and kitchen utensils and pots and pans and everything you need in the kitchen .and washroom and bedroom and it was all free .I can't thank them enough .I got my smile back .the staff are so heart warming coffee in the morning and socialising with other woman has made me more confident about myself and am talking lots before I was a quite person but I feel so much better with my health too I like helping and listening to other woman that I greet there you learn so much from one another don't be alone come and be apart of this woman center they will change your life too .

I am a Canadian citizen , from India I had migrated ...I was immensey helped by the woman's center to overcome past trauma and domestic abuse..this place helped me not only to discover myself and realize my worth, but they also practically guided as to how to move ahead academically, at that same time my younger sister who was only 28yrs old was a mother of a 3 years old girl ,was married in india and was going through the same abuse as both we sisters were a product of a narcissistic father and a broken home. Unfortunately she committed suicide in India due to lack of help like surrey woman center and I was saved because firstly God helped me and sent.me to womans center.surrey womens center saves lives I am a living testemont of that under the able leadership of shahnaz Rehman executive Director, I am sure it will reach great hieghts. The very young girl who answers the phone presented as being far too immature and lacking in any form of good manners and respect when in a phone conversation. Your center is to help women in crisis and in other very difficult personal situations - so the very first thing to seriously re-consider is that I am just one person who could not receive any help at all, which was the fault of this girl who behaved like a typical younger generation young girl - with the attitude and behaviors of a spoiled little brat - no respect whatsoever and the arrogance in her conviction that only she is right and refused to stop interrupting every time I tried to speak. When I pointed this habit out to her, she of course threw a little temper tantrum and told me off - she needs to be replaced with a mature ADULT as soon as possible. But of course, this won't happen - your center seems to be badly run and very unprofessional. Starting with the rude child you chose to hire to be the first contact with what is supposed to be a place for help with serious issues.

They told me I could get my bed fixed but then jerked me around. Made an apt to go pick up a 40.00 cheque and it was not there, not signed. They could have let me know. They said it would probably be signed the next day but its been another week with no word while the repair guy is waiting to be paid. After the way communication is going, I dont believe they ever intended to help.

This place became my favourite place not because I get so much help from them but because every worker is super sweet, caring, helpful, cheerful, always ready to help, THANK YOU LADIES EVERY EACH OF YOU ARE WONDERFUL THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO TO HELP US AND TO MAKE OUR LIFE A BIT BETTER. *Updated*I won’t delete my comment because I did experienced bad service but I also got a lots of help from Laurie P. She got promoted in some other field but she still helped me so much with my case and she went overboard and out of her way just to help me and made me feel safe and comfortable and even helped me with my anxiety. She’s extremely supportive and the best in surrey women centre. I wish everyone can be that supportive and showed this much dedication towards their clients but it’s really hard to find good people like Laurie, she’s a true gem and a hardworking woman! She goes out of her way to help her clients and she makes sure she give the bestest advice, support and service that anyone else can offer. I’m changing my ⭐️to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and those stars are only for Laurie! Thank you Laurie.

Extremely bad service! I have been trying to get help from them but past few months now because I have a RTB hearing coming and I got 3 different ladies each time I was booked for a appointment and they all got sick at the second appointments so then I had to wait a week or more to get a new lady and same thing happened I met her 1 time and booked a 2nd appointment to meet but cancelled it because she was sick and then I was told to call in on the 3rd July I had to wait 2 weeks for her and the day I was booked to meet her she called in sick this is ridiculous! Are they even here to help I don’t get that! I was told by the 1st lady to come in tomorrow and ask for the manager which I came but she’s not in! My court date is on the 11 July and it seems like they’re playing games or they are on my landlord side. I have been soo stressed and they aren’t even able to help with that either. What is the point of having places like this when they can’t even help when someone comes in and ask for help. It’s been 2-3 months I have been dealing with them and now I have less than a week left I’m going to have another panic attack, I really really don’t know where to get help anymore. This really sucks!!

I am alive today because of the beyond amazing team of The Surrey Women's Centre! With the no judgement help and support from Shahnaz (Executive Director) to Lorraine (Victim Support Worker) to Tarah (Housing Worker) and Ammen (my Counselor).
I cannot express enough on how the SWC team helped me when I hit rock bottom.
My 9 year old Daughter is very grateful for all the help we've received,too.

SWC is the top society that needs more recognition!
