Tried donating some things today from our renovation, lighting, nothing broken, wire shelving with brackets lots of nicer things but the guy was so over selective and wanted new items basically saying we won’t sell that. So we had to bring home everything. I understand this is volunteer based and you have standards as do I.
I list things on Marketplace and people do pick up similar items it’s just out of their way so places like this really help. They keep stuff people can use out of their way landfill so I guess I’ll find d another place to donate!

Place is an unorganized mess and it's always packed with people. They do have a lot of stuff ;but pricing isn't great for a place that gets everything for free (I understand there's operating cost and wages to pay ;but the pricing is not competitive).

Have always heard good things about the store, so decided to pop in on a trip up island. Everything was going well until we were waiting in line where my 3 year old was excitedly playing with his soon-to-be new toy. The cashier scoffed and stated to the woman ahead of us that she just can’t handle kids that age. Sounds like she could have used a bit of the joy he had.

Lots of selection, but not very organized. Shelves were extremely cluttered and clothes were not sized. Decent pricing, and we found some great clothes after digging for our sizes.

I hadn’t been to the sos in a couple years. Normally I find good bargains and good quality and generally pleased with my purchases. Today everything I looked at was so overpriced it was shocking. I know the staff are volunteers but their attitudes are so sour and impatient perhaps they should rethink why they are there.

This is the best of the best for thrift hunting! Awesome low prices and each day a different coloured tag is discounted! Staff are always happy and friendly which creates an comforting atmosphere.

While I do enjoy shopping here, I'm giving one star because of the clothing situation. The change rooms are never open! I understand they are short staffed, but the fact that they often times charge the same or more than I can buy the same thing at the mall is really irritating. They do not offer an exchange on clothing, or store credit if the item doesn't fit. WHY NOT?!? I have spent $15 on a little sundress for it to go straight back there.
