I signed up to donate x amount each month, i have been paying it for almost 8 months now. I want to stop doing that now but there is literally no option to cancel the payments. Whenever you call them it always just goes on waiting and no one ever picks up the call, when you mail them you don’t get a direct straight forward reply. This is frustrating, feels like every month they are stealing money from me.

Extremely manipulative door or door reps. Me and my girlfriend are students and are not extremely well off. Yet my gf wanted to donate some money to the people who came door to door. They took all of her card information and backed her into a 2 vs 1 situation while I was busy before telling her they would be attempting to charge her $30 every month for over a year while proceeding to watch over her as she completed the next steps. The reps at the door also said it would be extremely easy to cancel but this is also turning out to not be the case. This is not only extremely manipulative but leaves a super bad taste in my mouth regarding this charity trying to swindle people attempting to give the little extra they have.

EDIT: After a couple of days we got an email cancelling the donation plan. I thank you for making that a fairly painless process after this.

Representative at my door today was very nice, pleasant and professional. I mentioned that the organization has a bad record for impact per dollars spent with too much of each dollar spent on administration/ management. The rep wasn't aware but appreciated the information. Great to deal with, wish he was with a different charity.

I had a Door2Door person damage my property for saying no to him and closing the door without listening to his schpeel.

I contacted SOS Children's Villages Canada and their charity has done nothing about it apart from telling me that type of behavior is unacceptable.

If you see a Blue Vest w/a White SOS on it knocking on your door in Ottawa I'd call the City & have them removed from your neighborhood. If they aren't stopping their employee's from damaging property they're encouraging it.

Extremely unprofessional and inefficient communication and very bad attitude . they treat donors as if they are doing us a favor. Despite that we expressed our dissatisfaction, they never apologized, admit their mistake, or try to fix any mistake they made. We feel bad that there are people relying on them for support, luckily, there are other organizations who are way more professional.

Two days ago met with some guys from sos in Brampton, I talked to them and committed them to put some share of my earnings for my friends who have lost their parents ...When I came back to my house I was really worried when I googled it that how much people are suffering from several things in this world of God...I have found my IKIGAI,I have found my aim ..NOW I just want give my life or whatever I can do for all of my friends who are suffering....
