Disappointed with store experience, impressed by customer service

I placed an online order believing the Sudbury store had stock. My payment was taken immediately, yet I received no pickup confirmation. After driving out of my way to the store, I was casually told, “Sorry, it didn’t arrive on the truck,” with no further follow-up.

Two weeks passed with no communication. I contacted customer service, who initially said they’d reach out to the store and courier it if there was no response. But when I followed up again, I learned the store hadn’t even ordered it yet. They wait for large orders. Which is understandable but not explained upon ordering online. I declined the wait, and thankfully customer service stepped up and they couriered it overnight, and I received it the next day.

Kudos to customer service for salvaging the situation. But the lack of coordination and communication at the store level and franchise website was frustrating.

Sharpes is the best place to go! Tina and team are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful every time you walk through the door. So grateful i have a feed store as great as sharpes to source my supplies for all my critters 🙂
