Today at 7:30 pm, my human rights was violated by two nurses (an older caucasian elder with short hair and a shorter younger dark haired caucasian woman with glasses) at the front desk at Sault area hospital after I took a selfie with them in the background. So I could show people who I thought was being prejudice. I felt prejudiced against. I felt prejudiced for being Native American. I went in to for abdominal pain. I did the blood work. I waited till before 7:30 until when I saw these two nurses getting comfortable chatting. I thought it was inappropriate to do so considering nurses are making an average of 40.80+ an hour. That is when I took the selfie!:) And then the young nurse came to tell me that I couldn't take pictures of them, the nurses. She said if I took anymore pictures I would be asked to leave. I'm sorry but these two nurses do not deserve bonus's or raises for their service. Their superior was even notified I witnessed? But didn't take action. The security gaurds both made sure I deleted the evidence, even wanted to go through my trash bin. This is a Human rights violation, just like police officers who can be video taped and photographed, the same is for the Ontario nurses associated who are publicly funded by tax dollars. I will be putting together a petition to protest the Canadian health care system who has failed many indigenous people and continue to do so. My health records have been slandered and there is too many gaps and flaws within our hospitals in Canada. With the injustice events happening to indigenous peoples in our hospitals across Canada. This is unacceptable and unforgivable. Thanks for reading and be better!

I’m writing to share a disappointing experience I had during a recent visit to see my mother, who was admitted to unit 3C. One of the staff nurses, Chris (a small Asian male), was noticeably unprofessional. He was disrespectful in his tone and behavior—not just to me, but in general demeanor. He came across as boastful and dismissive, which was especially upsetting during such a vulnerable time for our family.

Patients and their families deserve compassion, patience, and respectful communication—none of which were shown by Chris during our interaction. I left the hospital feeling uneasy and disrespected, which is the last thing anyone should feel in a healthcare setting.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and that steps are taken to ensure patients and families are treated with the empathy and professionalism they deserve.

Terrible service, rude workers who seem to care little for the patients! Incredibly lengthy and treacherous wait times, people are in pain writhing for hours in the wait rooms! Something clearly has to be done, this is ridiculous

I will not support public funding of this. There is no staff. The emergency room apparently has hours of operation now. Can’t get medical help until at least 9am when they want to open. Actually you won’t get help for hours no matter how many people are there or what your condition is. After several hours to just get admitted, you can sit for several more hours listening to the staff chit chat about their weekend, instead of helping anyone. Fire this board and privatize this place. It’s ridiculous how bad it’s been allowed to get. Complete failure.

Nurses being rude, not showing empathy to the patients especially named Lora sitting at the front. They are saying it will 6 hours in the department named “emergency”. One of the worst healthcare systems I have seen. Not willing to treat patients, 1 doctor working all night, this is showing their interest and capability to serve patients in work named saving lives where they can’t even help giving at least one bed to a patient having severe abdomen pain. The waiting time of 6 hours in emergency, such a hilarious and worst healthcare system. Shame on you guys, you gotta handle the patients who are dealing with severe pain, not to be rude with them in the time when they are suffering from severe pain. I suggest you to hire good behaving nurses and doctors who are interested in saving lives and applying their knowledge to improve public health, not just treat the disease with minimal care. I hope this could make an impact and make those donkeys with degrees to serve better.

Dr. Babik gave my wife a c section after many failed attempts of induction, once the c section was done, he stiched her up very poorly, causing infection to get in her incision. she has loose flaps of skin etc... which is not how a stiched incision should look. he pretty clearly didnt care about what he was doing & did it all very quickly.
