It’s a nice place to visit this area, but we went to White Pine beach. Hike around the lake for over an hour… busy place and crowded in the afternoon. If you’d like to have a good spot, come early in the morning. I’d like to add that SOC was not part of White Pine Beach.

Camp was for the most part lovely. I attended as a teacher for a day program with my school recently and for the most part, the instructors were lovely. Particular kudos should be given to Janee(?) for her incredible enthusiasm with the students.

The only thing I would note is the archery instructor. He's an older gentleman and I have to say, he was terrible with the students. His enthusiasm was near zero and every student commented on how much he seemed to hate his job. If he wasn't there though, camp would be near perfect.

Food was really good. We were provided lunch and the kids still are talking about it. Thank you camp Sasamat! We'll be back!

I went here when I was around 12, I had never went camping before so being away from home in a secluded area alone with other kids who I didn't know definitely made me anxious.

The food wasn't quality at all, in fact most of the kids got food poisoning and the bathrooms got disgusting really fast.

In fact on the second day they publicly shamed this 7 year old girl for not eating her food, when like the day before we all got food poisoning.

A lot of the activities looked very janky to a skeptical and anxious twelve year old girl as well, and we were forced to do a lot of them too.

I was only there for one night and two days, I was supposed to be there for 3 days but I had begged the counsellors to leave multiple times, but they were trying really hard for me to stay saying things along the lines of "It will get better, don't worry!" at some point I got a hold of my mom and I managed to get home.

Also my siblings uno cards were confiscated ITS UNO CARDS..
