This poor bunny was attacked by a fox a while ago. After finally being live trapped, he eas taken to sandy pines, who saves his life. They are amazing people, who do amazing thing. Not funded by government, they rely on donations from the community. Such inspirations!

We took an injured seagull here after first calling ahead.
They seemed genuinely happy to help.
There were several geese/ducks on the property just chillin.
Highly recommend and if you are able to maybe consider a charitable donation.

Not really a park. Fantastic place for rehabilitating wild animals. They are the most wonderful people helping so many injured and orphaned animals. They sell T shirts and some souvenirs to help pay for their work. Stop in if you have a minute.

Very wonderful people that work here. Very helpful. Found an injured Pileated woodpecker on the side of the road . Left a message and they responded right away and were able to take in the bird. What a wonderful place. When I arrived watch out for the turkey ! Was very friendly though. So glad places like this are around to help injured wildlife.

I had an orphaned raccoon and Sandy Pines was the most receptive to my plight. A very professional place that does its best to integrate animals back into the wild.

I'm so grateful to Sandy Pines for their fast response and delegation to a volunteer to pick up an injured crow near Queen's U today. It made for a very smooth and fast process to get the bird the help it needed. Thank you again!!

Do not call here if you are looking to save an animal, they will euthanize immediately. Both my neighbour and I contacted this place and the woman on the phone was completely disregarding for the animals (two baby orphan raccoons) and said to leave them for “3 days”. Naturally myself and neighbour took care of them and made sure they were warm and safe outside while they waited for a mother to return, and called back 3 days later. We dropped them off and later found out that were immediately euthanized. We later contacted public health to see if we should get tested for rabies since the mother had passed and been found in the park prior, and we were unable to have the raccoons tested (this is how we found out they were euthanized). I’m beyond disappointed, this is not a sanctuary.
