Garbage ppl , trash environment . What a bad place to be kicked out of at 7 o’clock am. Nothings even open. Let’s wonder around an hr or two.

the staff here are amazing they have compassion, they treat you like a normal human being. food and clothes, they have different programs..AA meetings on wed, movie day (the Chosen) fri 2-4pm and many others, they can help with taxes housing etc. they have a 20 min church sevice sunday mornings at 1130...they have shelter on 2nd floor men only. they have halfway house CRF for men and women. this is just outstanding...

Good food. Very clean. Incredibly affordable. If you or your co-habitants receive any kind of assistance from the government or are simply "$? No", walking up the stairs to the right of the main entrance before 12PM, Monday-Friday will bet you about six free lunch tickets per person. Obviously there's a limit as to mow often one can get these. What a huge helper though. Check it out... Be impressed.

Liars, abusive, fraud, they are not there to help you, they are there to defraud social assistance by bringing in as much cash as they can, go ahead stay there for a week if you can survive it. Threats, threats, threats. They advertised 24/7 warming center, DID NOTHING...Giving hope, I hope I don't go to jail, I don't deserve it.

Cant give less than 1 star or I would give minus 50. Used to be - and I emphasize the word "Used" someone who donated substantially to the SA every year monitarily. That ended today. I called two weeks ago asking if they would like the donation of a dining room hutch and a teak desk. Oh, yes, they would. Scheduled a truck. It arrived today and there was a lot of whining about the fact that the hutch needed a coat of paint - didn't want to take it. Now, I don't care if they don't want it, but why the devil not ask those questions when I phoned. I am renovating and have a tight schedule for things.....they have cost me a lot of effort and time - and could care less. Two people had asked for these things in the interim and I turned them down because I had promised them to SA. Could have sent a photo if they had asked, but they didn't I am incredibly annoyed and will NEVER NEVER NEVER again donate a penny to this collection of incompetents at any point in the future. Didn't even show them the desk - just told them to leave.

This establishment and it's inmates have been a blight on the downtown of Nanaimo for decades now. It's time they sold that valuable chunk of real estate, moved to a better location and built a modern facility away from the central core. They might too consider helping all the needy that come their way, and stop discriminating against those of the LGBT community. That might actually be Christlike behaviour.

Well they helped me do my taxes ... I go there every year to get them done.. Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm just go upstairs at the social concerns office....first come first serve policy.
