Eine sehr schöne, helle und freundliche Kirche die, vielleicht weil sie gerade restauriert wird, auch geöffnet war. Das haben wir leider auf unser 2 wöchigen Reise durch Nova Scotia sonst fast nie erlebt. Die meisten Kirchen waren leider verschlossen- schade. Diese aber hat uns sehr positiv überrascht. Danke für die Augenblicke des stillen Gebets.

Wow, what a great place. Church is amazing and the ambience is so welcoming. It's a historic location that is very close to the St. Francis Xavier University. I lived in Antigonish for a couple of years and I never missed a chance to visit the Cathedral whenever I got the chance. Good place for personal worships and holy mass👌♥️

Beautiful structure in the heart of downtown Antigonish. Historical ceiling paintings have been restored, with more work to come. Worth the visit for history context and for those who attend mass they have masses here.

The seat of the Diocese of Antigonish,this magnificent Cathedral is an imposing presence in Antigonish. The Cathedral is a large stone cathedral of the Romanesque style and was built between 1874 to 1886. Much of the limestone came from local quarries around the Town of Antigonish and much of the woodworking high in the bell towers was crafted by farmers in and around Antigonish County. Below the Altar 2 bishops are interred. The Cathedral celebrates daily mass and is open to tourists throughout the day.
