Helpful answer to people in need of furniture, beds , appliances and clothing. Very very nice stuff here I was given all designer clothing a Versace suit with Versace/hermes ties all like new . Around the corner from lighthouse shelter it's the best route to people without options or cash . Every 3 Months you can return and receive help again so so nice it's a 5/5 rating in my eyes .

The staff is exceptionally friendly and supportive. We hope they continue to extend their assistance to more people who are struggling to make ends meet. From their garage sales to various events, they continually create opportunities that not only raise funds but also bring the community together for a great cause. Their dedication to helping vulnerable families through these initiatives truly makes a difference, and it’s inspiring to see how much they care about the people they serve. I’m always impressed by the thoughtfulness and impact of their events!

Staff is extremely friendly, and they are not judgemental whatsoever, and they are very helpful. I feel very comfortable going to this agency when I require a bit of help. One thing I am not particularly fond of is the limited space between the rows of clothing. It is very tight. Other than that, I do like SafetyNet over other thrift stores.

I guess I have a different experience as a donor from others. Every time I bring clothing in response to an urgent appeal from Safetynet, I never get even a thank you - just “leave it over there”. Makes me feel as if I’m bothering the staff and not appreciated. Whereas I get treated differently at other similar charities Oakville. Unfortunate

I can not say enough wonderful things about this agency. The staff is friendly and the clothing was perfect for my disabled friend. The staff is what make this place above all the rest.

I’m a single mom of two daughters under the age of two, and in my most desperate times of need I always could rely on support from safety net. Today I was supposed to get my child benefits, but CRA is back holding it until next month, and I was really depending on it to get all my necessities to last me for the upcoming month. I was sitting there crying and sobbing, trying to figure out how I’m gonna make ends meet and I remembered safety net, which was introduced to me through the shelter that I had stayed at previously called Shifra homes, and I reached out to Jess who immediately brought me to ease. I let her know about my situation, and she was more than willing to provide me with everything that I needed to last me until the upcoming month. It’s so hard to even ask for help without feeling guilty but Jess has never made me hesitate to reach out for help. (they really put the safe in safety net) i’m beyond grateful that I have access to these resources to allow me to take care of my daughters because honestly without them I don’t know how I would even get by most days. this isn’t the first time that safety net has helped me out and the staff and everyone included in this program is beyond amazing. Thank you Safety Net from a mama of two. I hope one day I’m able to repay you for all the support you have provided me and my daughters.
