It really provides us with a safe place to rest your head at night This is a shelter with people who are addicted to drugs and have mental health problems from my night only at the same there there was no issues with the people there although I'm sure I can get quite wild but there is drug use around outside that is allowed before they enter the shelter & they do provide with limited food like sandwiches or a granola bar. They do close the shelter down from 7 to 8 p.m. Just to do shift change and wipe down the mats for every individual who comes back or resides there at the moment and for newcomers, which was my experience overnight.

I have read all the reviews and I think all the negative ones must be about the MATS program, I have been to Safe Harbour 6 times for alcoholism and there has never been lice or theft or rude/uncaring staff!! Everyone has been very caring and sober orientated, helpful in setting up treatment and aftercare plans. The food is fantastic and the nurses know what they doing with medications they provide to ease withdrawal symptoms and make withdrawal safe. I am very happy and proud to say that after 6 detox’s and a lot dedication to A.A. That I am almost 1 month sober after 10 years of heavy alcoholism. I would recommend Safe Harbour to anyone struggling and in need of help. Don’t let the negative comments throw you off about this wonderful place 🙂

This place is amazing it saved my life. I never had a bad experience with any staff members. They are always there if you need something or have questions. The food is great too. Very great place to go if you need help detoxing they are more then accommodating. 10 out of 10 for my review only complaint I could think of was no milk with meals. But the meals make up for it. Awesome work safe harbor keep it up

This place is supposed to be a detox yet I find it strange that you would put a detox somewhere and then allow people to use drugs around the entire building. I have heard that you're more likely to be taken in if you act out of it - being clear headed from two days of sobriety won't help you here. The place has a lice out break. It is very unorganized. I think the staff do a great job and they are friendly but the whole organization is broken and in need of restructuring.

The staff were amazing. I had never been to a detox before but they made me feel Incredibly comfortable right away and without judgement. The staff went above and beyond to help me with contacting my boss and setting me up with Psychiatrist for my work disability. I was able too change my bedding when I wanted and provided clean clothes (I came in with only what I was wearing). The food was healthy and super tasty. I can't speak higher of the staff and the program. The staff deal with so much but made me feel cared for and important. All my love too the staff.

I was a little anxious at first but by day 3 or 4 I was starting to feel better and the staff are so nice making you feel better there is not enough stars to rate thank you all for treating me so well I wish nothing but positives in your lives thank you so much
