I bought a sheet set at the store on Wednesday . Normally if they know the product is damages it is marked or not sold.
I got the sheets home and found the firter sheet had a large tear in it. I emailed them via their website and then went in today to get it refunded.
The staff insisted they are not able to refund as only the manager can.
1. What store on the day that has highest volume of traffic doesn’t have an authorized person there when the item was defective.
2. Final sale: Restore has always honoured their products. we have purchased many items over the decades here and are very aware.
Very poor experience this week with product and service.

A true treasure hunt! Products change weekly. Lots of NEW and used. I appreciate the knowledge of the staff and volunteers. I have purchased a dining table, 4 chairs, 2 breakfast bar stools, raised garden, and so much more. I love that my purchases go to funding this organizations mission of building homes for families in our community. This is not a thrift store, but has lots of deals daily. You should feel good knowing your money is going to back into the community.

Very disappointed in the direction this store has gone. I have been around building materials, appliances and most other items in these stores all my life and have a really good idea of their value. The prices are way to high. $175.00 for a 15+ year old fridge with a missing handle…are you kidding me? A lot of other items have almost new prices or the same price as when on sale. Yes, I understand this place is somewhat of a charity, but…. Other locations I have been to have for the most part have reasonable prices. Goderich has the best location I have been in.

Very disappointing. Save yourself the trouble an go somewhere else... We found a kitchen set here for the house we're building. Loved the idea of spending the money for charity and being able to upcycle something that would otherwise be thrown out.
My husband called in the morning and asked about the one we had been looking at and mentioned he was planning on bringing a trailer and a cheque that night(at latest the next day) and was told that because it was such a big purchase they would be fine with a cheque as payment. It was a very different story when we came to pay for it and pick it up. The manager came out pretty upset, insinuating that we might be trying to steal the money from charity. She did say that she would allow it this one time only, but continued to chew us out and a couple of her coworkers about the situation. She also told us it wouldn't have been an issue if we were picking up at a later date. Had we been told that it would be an issue we would have arranged a different payment method or come a different day with the trailer but we already drove over an hour to get there. What started as a simple miscommunication ended with us being insulted.
We won't be returning because of that manager's attitude. Please learn how to treat people better. The only saving grace was the kindness of the rest of the staff that was there helping us. We will find another charititable store to spend our money in the future.

I pulled up to the store looking for a patio set. They had one that was in ok condition. I enquired about the price because they had $125 listed on each item. I wanted to know if it was for the whole set or individually and they told me that was the price per piece. I explained that you can buy a new set for that price in store. The lady who I spoke to just looked at me like I had 3 heads and I asked if she can lower the price a bit because that's steep. She refused. So I won't be going back there ever again and her and her attitude can go fly a kite! She was also rude to my friend who is elderly and asked her if she knows how to "read a sign". I'd rather deal with a person in a trench coat on the street than to back here again!

We used to love coming here. I'm not sure what has happened to this place (probably excessive greed like everything else), but the prices have become beyond outrageous. We have been shopping here for years and based on what we've seen over the last year or more our time here will likely become considerably less frequent. To say the prices are shocking is an understatement. It's become increasingly rare to find anything actually worth buying.

Loved the selection of goods here. We are working on adding a bathroom to our basement and we scored some great deals: 2 full unopened boxes of 24x12 marble-like Porcelain floor tiles for only $1 per square foot (see the picture, I think they're gorgeous!). Also a 24 inch door for only $15 (it would be over $100 new)!!!! We will be returning as our project progresses for more materials.

I believe Habitat for Humanity is a very worthwhile charity, and I'm well aware of the positive contributions they make to our communities!

However, I have to say that I recently tried to donate some very useful and good quality furniture items and was told they were not interested. This was very discouraging to me - that a charity won't accept a charitable donation. The furniture items ended up in the landfill, as I wasn't able to donate them.

I fully understand that H4H can not accept every offered donation - they aren't, after all, a landfill either. BUT, when you're offered good quality items that most household in need would want, it seems foolish to turn them down. At the very least, accept the donation and spend some time trying to find a home for them. This would be a win-win, as you might fill the need of a family in need, and also divert useful items from going to the landfill.
