About four years ago I moved to the states, but every time I come home I make sure to frequent this stop. Always always tons of vegan options! I've been helped many times by Shania! She's always so knowledgeable, kind, and patient if I have questions.
She is always recommending the right products! I've never walked away feeling unsatisfied. When I go in I specifically look for her because her wealth of knowledge.

Regardless of what staff member you talk to they are always friendly and willing to help. They all work very hard. Customer service is a very demanding job especially in a "mom and pops shop" you're competing with big box chains and so you often have to work extra hard because you don't have the cushion under capitlaism. I guess not everyone understands that....

Moreover, I think big box grocery stores have created an unrealistic picture of what food is "supposed" to look like so it's nice to see locally sourced products when I go in that aren't wasted because they didn't meet the "criteria".

I really want to like this place. I went a few years back the staff was incredibly rude and unwelcoming but I wanted to give them a second chance. Unfortunately the staff is still super unwelcoming and rude, they act like you're inconveniencing them by shopping. On top of awful customer service, the bread i bought was moldy. I got a refund which was expected, but the quality is just not there for the food they sell. There are many other wonderful natural food stores in the city which will get my business.

Bought a bunch of nice looking green kale, on the outside at least. Opened the package and more leaves than not were yellow.

Nice bulk spice area, but no prices by weight are shown. Why not? Are we supposed to not care at all what the pricing is?

I live close by and I really want to like this place and shop here but every time I do there are issues. I’ve bought sprouts which are rotten the next day. Cheese which smelled like death, which they wouldn’t return. There are always several employees working, but no one is willing to help you or even say hello. So many of their products claim to be health food but are filled with harmful ingredients (ex. Vegetable/canola/seed oils). I just bought sauerkraut to come home and find out it’s pasteurized, which pretty much illuminates all the health benefits of it. This place and it’s employees are horrible. Don’t waste your time or your money.

Old-fashioned store is a treasure trove of organic goodies. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, making shopping here a delight. Authentic charm meets top-quality products - a must-visit!

Thank you to the amazing team at Quarter Master!! Thank you for your many kindnesses and support since the pandemic. I loved going into the store and miss that now but in no way has that impacted the quality of the products or the excellent service provided by the team. Love this store so much! Such good prices for organic foods! Also has a huge spice rack, so many choices to choose from, from Gharam Masala , to dried lavender, to fresh produce, to organic teas, to honey and peanut butter, to health and beauty products! Overall is an amazing store with such friendly services!

They have everything organic here. High quality, specialized items are stocked here too, from supplements to fresh produce to mineralized water systems. They have fresh, local raw honey and unique probiotic rich products, like water buffalo kefir. For meats, they have delicious smoked trout and now stock grassfed beef. Very reasonable prices and you can get almost anything healthy here. Recently came back here and prices and items got better.
