Hi this Ron weins on the 27th of August I went in for a colonoscopy it went well good doctor very gentle, but the prep nurse was very unprofessional with the placement of the iv she put it in the side of my wrist instead of on my hand where I told her to insert it she didn't listen now my wrist is purple and swollen and sore 2 days later. I think she should be fired before she injures anyone else thank you 😊 🙏

Terrible service and rude doctor. Went there because my friend had severe stomach pain.. overall visit 3 hours. The Dr. Name with dr. M…something (maybe dr.Moola) was on duty in emergency. Was so so rude after 2 hours doctor came and said o you have pain.. like seriously? She has PAIN that is why we are in emergency from last 2 hours and yes this is the 3rd time we were asking that she is a pain. And what he confirmed constipation… she has stomach pain can’t pee well.. her bowel movements were regular then how come she is constipated… and also said IF YOU DO NOT WANT LAXATIVES THEN THROW IT. Using lots of terminologies.. she as a patient didn’t understand anything. I am registered nurse as well. Worked with so many physicians but never ever saw that kind of wired doctor who don’t know how to do professional communication with patients.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Theres a reason why i do not come here. Service is shitty , nurses are rude & doctors don't seem to care enough to do proper examinations on a patient. Not the first time either i myself & others have had terrible experiences here.

ER is an absolute joke. Had a nurse not allow me to lay down while inserting an IV (manpreet I believe). Was bleeding all over, sweating profusely and she just kept saying “wait a minute” while I was telling her I was about to throw up. Dr johannes van der whatever doesn’t give a singular care in the world. Pulls back curtain, says “X-rays ok, bloodwork ok, they will let you leave “ not a single question or care in the world. Probably the worst dr I’ve ever experienced. Wouldn’t go back to this hospital

This hospital used to be great but now it'a terrible. Have been sitting in the emergency room for hours waiting to be checked in.
The nurses ignore you when your calling for them. This is what happens with the UCP in charge of Alberta. Albertans ignored but health care staff when they're in their moment of need.

My kids were showing their horses in Ponoka today when I began having immense unbearable cramping due to miscarriage. I was emotional and experiencing debilitating pain so bad I could hardly breath or move. I reluctantly agreed to go to the hospital with my husband and they would not let him come in because our two toddlers were with us. I decided to go in alone because the pain was unbearable, although sitting alone in a waiting room was the last thing I wanted to do. The security guard directed me to go around the corner to register, where I stood bawling my eyes out due to pain only to have the nurse look up and tell me I needed to go wait to register. Did not even ask if I was ok. After sitting there alone for 15 minutes I asked them how long it was going to be (there was only one other person in waiting room) and if I’d be better to go somewhere else, and their tone was rude and again did not ask about my condition when I stated I was in unbearable pain. After half an hour of having no one ask me anything I finally left. I was in terrible pain for almost 2 hours as I eventually ended up going to Rimbey hospital where they immediately offered me a wheel chair and I saw a doctor within 15 minutes. Highly recommend driving the bit of extra distance to lacombe or Rimbey.

I've had to come here twice in the last three days due to heart emergencies. The nurses and doctors are amazing, the speed and attention they give you is unlike any I've seen at other hospitals throughout Alberta.
