Pine Tree Potters is a great organization. Community outreach in the form of charity work through its Empty Bowls event is just one aspect of this guild. Each year the members hold Empty Bowls dinners in conjunction with the November Holiday Show at the OTH raising $$$ for two local groups: Welcoming Arms and Inn from the Cold

I love the fact that Pine Tree Potters is in my community! I remember when my daughter was in elementary school, first becoming aware of Pine Tree Potters guild. You see, 2 of her teachers were a part of the Guild and they brought the joy of pottery into all of their students lives! I still have my daughter’s creations in my kitchen and they still make me smile at how her little hands made these pieces. That was over 15 years ago and I’ve been following the Guild’s work ever since!

Pine Tree supports their community in so many dynamic ways; donating time and talent to cultural days, providing education, being a part of sales near and far, supporting special events for community groups and fundraising for those in need! They also help each other because it’s a teaching guild! This means that skills and knowledge are shared as they develop their abilities and knowledge of all things clay, glaze, kiln and more.

I have been lucky enough to take a couple of classes myself at the Guild (in hand building and wheel). This transitioned to me putting myself on a waiting list to try and be a part of the Guild (and I was willing to wait even though I didn’t know what it all meant or how it would work). There’s only so much space because the studio allows for a certain number of people to be permanent members, but I made it in a couple years ago and it’s changed my life for the BEST!

So, you may be wondering why am I writing this review now? The simple answer is that you have to use your voice and share knowledge. Being a part of the guild gives me true insight and we all want the facts, right! I have first hand experience seeing how this people powered charitable organization operates and it’s been nothing short of amazing! Everyone pulls together and shares their abilities and energy to make all of the Guild’s activities and ventures a success. They’ve been a part of this community for over 40 years, and I’m so happy to be a part of it all now. I wanted you all to know just how special Pine Tree Potters’ Guild is!

I can always find amazing Pottery through the potters at Pine Tree. I just attended their 2020 Empty Bowls event! It wasn’t an easy thing to organize in these Covid times, so I was amazed at how they came together an outdoor event in November to benefit charities in our community. I look forward to future sales because they make my gift giving easy!

A community guild, great space, great people, offers classes, does empty bowls fundraising events for local charities, fabulous studio where people work together to develop the art of handbuilding and wheel work in clay as well as glaze development. Awesome!

Had a terrible experience here! I was really excited to take wheel throwing classes so I signed up and paid for 8 classes. After attending the first class, I happened to receive a work opportunity and could not continue on with the classes. I was told I wouldn't get ANY refund or credit towards classes at another time/future. Extremely disappointing! Don't recommend!
