Shara the customer service rep at Penner Hardware seems to be the one who always is so friendly, greets me and asks if she can be of help.
I was in the store yesterday looking for a reducer for my dryer vent and she picked up the exact part I needed in less than a minute!
I was in and out of the store in less than three minutes with a friendly and efficient cashier as well.
I am sure other staff members are super in customer service although my experience has been great with Shara the past several times.
The part was competitively priced compared to a major online seller.
Thank you for the excellent service.

I work at ABC Supply Co, and we had a homeowner come in looking for concrete sealant to repair a floor in his home. Since we do not carry a product that could help him-- I looked all over online for something or somewhere to direct him to. Nothing I could find was compatible with concrete. So, I made call to my local superstars Judy and Dave at the Penner's paint desk! And boy were we not disappointed! Judy called the paint company to ensure the safety of the product she had worked indoors and be sure of the appropriate application techniques. This wasn't just fantastic customer service, this was the kind of down home community care we are all blessed to enjoy at our Penner's! I was so proud to share my confidence in your expertise. Thank you again for being a business we can trust, because of the amazing staff you employ.

First of all I’d like to start off by saying the treatment that we experienced by the staff was absolutely terrible. From the moment we approached the lumber desk to ask questions the gentleman was not helpful what so ever and proceeded to say the beam we need needs to be cut by a worker come to find out those workers aren’t even in on Saturdays. At no point we were told this prior to driving 40 minutes out of our way and by email with the engineer Darren or on the phone with your staff. My husband has called the store multiple times to find out what he needs for a beam in our home and every time he comes he gets the wrong information and is being told he should “come back next week or we don’t do that on the weekends”. After we spoke to the gentleman at the lumber he said to go to the back where the wood is and ask the staff who’s working to check if the size we have is in the yard, we proceeded and when we arrived the staff member said “the guys aren’t here on the weekend and you can go look in the yard yourself”

This is absolutely ridiculous! Why is it every time we come here we get treated like nothing? Is this a self serve store? No. So why have staff who can’t help customers who are buying things?! I’m so disappointed and disgusted with this treatment. It almost feels as though because we are non white customers we get treated like nothing.

A year ago I was at the cash with my money counted out and rounded to get useful change…the cashier look at the money and said: “Fine, have it your way”. She took the money and gave me some change…I walked a few steps and questioned myself what I done wrong, looked at the change and she’d short changed me!
I spent the next year leaving town to shop for hardware and finally decided to stop being dumb…
Yesterday I went in and was followed like I was a potential thief, my mistake I guess was bringing an empty shopping bag with me.

They let us in at closing time as we were in an emergency for a tool while renting a place close by! Classy move to let us in, and at least four different folks helped us out! 5 stars to this place and the staff!

Tool rental guy and staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and understanding. They also have everything I needed, with good quality stock. I will definitely be back

If I could give them a 0 I would. I came to the building multiple times to pick up a beam. No one even tried to help me. They told me to walk to yard and find the lumber myself. Terrible service, as tho I wasn't a customer
