I went to Winnipeg for a week and having coop access was great. Easy to register and get set up, especially being used to using modo in Vancouver. Their kilometer allowance on day rates is very small, so depending on your use other rental services are priced better. Additionally there were maintenance issues that rentals probably don't have. But co-ops are worth supporting over corporations, and the real bonus was being able to access cars close to your location.

They've clearly got some work ahead of them to make cars more available and more useful. More parking options with the fixed rentals would be great, and discounts for basic maintenance. Increasing the day rate kilometer allowance and most importantly

PUT UP PHOTOS OF THE CARS! I was wandering around downtown for 20 minutes trying to find the right car! Would have been much easier if I knew what I was looking for!

I am older with hearing challenges and get flustered with the app at times. I mention this as I have had occasion to call Member Services with such calls as How do I use the gas card?, Where is the nearest Shell? How do I see the grid of availability for a mini van? So this is a shout out to Robin who has answered my questions with patience, courtesy and made me feel comfortable with these many questions over a few different calls in the last 3 months. I am thankful to have such wonderful service and I highly recommend Peg City Car for your car sharing rentals.

Peg City Car Coop has great prices, the staff are friendly, the signup was quick, the car was clean and well maintained, and it helped us have a great trip to Ontario for slightly cheaper than normal rental cars with much less of the hassle!

Check your statements for double charges, extra gst/pst charges, additional fees on a per trip basis and confirm that your app trips total the same amount as your statement totals. This company is not transparent and doesn't take accountability for their systems mistakes claiming the discrepancies in their systems are only 2-10 cents, which isn't a lot... unless you charge $15 for a late payment of $2, which is due to the systems "discrepancies"... somehow the discrepancy costs are the customers responsibility to cover.

PegCity is a Winnipeg gem. Super convenient and a great value.
I live downtown in a high rise. Parking is an extra >$100 @month. I choose not to own a car. Beside my apartment building, and throughout the city , there are many PegCity vehicles parked in assigned spaces. I can book a rental for an hour or more, even days, all from my cell phone. Leave my apartment, go nearby to the PegCity vehicle, and open it up all from my phone. Easy peasy.
Once you try you’ll realize the amazing convenience. Hooray for PegCity 👏

We've been with Peg City for over 4 years now.

Never felt the need to own a personal vehicle thanks to them. My wife and I have likely saved tens of thousands of dollars, add to that the time and energy that didn't have to go into solving car problems, and add to that our smaller carbon footprint, all thanks to their service.

Mind you, we live in the West End so we have plenty of cars available in our area. Your mileage my vary depending on where you live / your lifestyle. Now, there have been some amazing expansions in fleet / services over the years, so that may not be a barrier for much longer.

We have been Peg City members for a little more than a year, ever since we returned to live in Winnipeg. We couldn't be happier! Between walking, bicycling, our motorcycle and public transit, Peg City fills in the gaps and gets us where we need to go. We are saving thousands of dollars every year and have the convenience of 4 cars within a block of our condo, plus many more within a few blocks. Our kids homes are just at the edge of the Flo zone which makes getting there when walking or the bus won't do even easier. We recommend Peg City to everyone, it's been a game changer and we are so happy to live a little lighter on the planet as well.
