I’ve noticed troubling workplace practices at this centre, that suggest unequal treatment among staff. Specifically, it appears that the only Black male staff member is consistently assigned tasks like taking out the trash, cleaning washrooms, and handling janitorial duties, while these responsibilities are not rotated fairly among all staff members. This pattern raises serious concerns about racial bias and unequal treatment within the organization. It's disheartening to see this in a community space that should promote inclusivity and equity.

Our family had a wonderful experience with OPNC. The Centre is immaculate, and so much fun for the kids. The staff, especially Miss Paige are outstanding. We highly recommend OPNC!.

It’s hard to put the value of OPNC into words. They are the family you wish lived closer, the friends you wish also had kids, and the neighbours you wish lived next door. I hope every mom, dad or grandparent takes the time to go to the drop-in program with their kids and experience the magic. Ms Paige has the ability to bring a community together and make sure that every child feels like they are a special part of it. And when they get old enough... they can go see Ms.Vesna in the awesome preschool program! Thanks OPNC!

I have lived in the Oak Park Community for over 5 years. I feel lucky to have such an incredible, safe, and positive place that provides for our for our community. I was able to gain experience volunteering for my hours for high school. I continue to volunteer for many different kinds of events throughout the years. I was also able to meet other members of the community. This Centre has helped me tremendously. I am very thankful for the Oak Park Neighbourhood centre and all their staff.

I had the wonderful opportunity to attended a few Indigenous workshops facilitated by Sarah at Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre. It was such a beautiful space to learn in and very welcoming. The staff were very kind. The workshops were full of teachings and such a wonderful experience to learn from the Elders as well as the other facilitators. I would love to attend more events there! Very grateful to have come across such a welcoming and inclusive space!

Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre is the most caring, inclusive centre I have ever visited. Each staff carries and shares an enormous level of compassion, and their doors are truly always open to provide warmth, comfort and help towards the public. I would not have had the opportunities I have now to become a better version of myself if it weren't for OPNC supporting me. In a perfect world, every city would have meaningful organizations such as this one.
