Helpful, sure. However, after putting in over a year submitting evidence, building my case, planning my approach, without any notice, the woman I was working with decided to retire... leaving me to essentially have to start over again. Then I was appointed another "advocate" and although her intentions were good, she had no real legal background, nor was she a lawyer. She tried to represent me in the first appearance and turtled on me as soon as the judge showed her any authority or challenge.
The worst part was, she told me she was a retired family lawyer initially, which was not true, she was an advocate. This ended up being super detrimental to my case because she filed my case incorrectly with the court under a provincial order, whereas it should have been filed as an Interjurisdictional and/or for international enforcement. This resulted in me having my case dismissed, not even having a chance to present evidence and losing over $30,000!! So, although free service is nice, it somehow always comes with a cost... in this case a big one!

This place is a hidden resource for a variety of services you might need. They have a toy lending library for kids where you go borrow toys and books for 3 weeks. Great service. They offer free legal aid services and much more.

Such an underrated organization! They have everything from legal advice, childcare information, everything related to supporting seniors, housing info, and more. All of the services are free as they are not for profit and I think people don't understand that with helpful, free resources comes certain wait times, etc. That being said, you could walk in with ANY urgent issue, and walk out with a list of extremely helpful resources. We love NSCR!!!

Helpfull, generous with their time and resources , really care and trying to help, going above and beyond in their effort to assist your issue. In terms of service and effiency they ARE OVER 5 STARS. Only reason I gave 4 is because you need to be very lucky to find them! I stumble on them by sheer luck but would never have found them other wise. Maybe it's a good thing as less people apparently create better service. HIGHLY RECOMENDING IT

NSCR is poorly organized and poorly managed, leaving its grocery clients waiting for days for food. If NSCR's financial supporters knew of NSCR's management's incompetence and waste of their funds, they would be very unhappy! Last night, Sunday, I sent a grocery list to my contact volunteer, assuming that if I got it to her by Monday morning, my groceries would arrive on Monday. WRONG. I got a phone call from Scabrina, who apparently wanted to clarify one of my only four list items. She didn't understand the wording. The concept she is incapable of understanding is this... What makes her think that her rewording of the list item would be any clearer to the volunteer grocery shopper than mine? Volunteer grocery shoppers are given the phone numbers of clients so that they can seek clarification, and inevitably they do just that. Sometimes the original contact person rewords a grocery list, which I just discovered. To get a simple yet detailed list of FOUR grocery items, there were THREE people contacting me about it, thus unnecessarily interrupting my post-op surgery recovery periods of rest and exercise. Not all volunteers are created equal. Many are kindhearted and care about other people. Others are careless and self-serving. NSCR should get its act together because it is NOT serving its "clients" in a meaningful, organized, and efficient manner. I don't give people a break just because they are volunteers. It disgusts me that NSCR is so bad at grocery deliveries. If you are hungry and have no food in your home, do not call NSCR because you won't get the food for 3 days! Scabrina indicated that a client must contact NSCR with a grocery list 3 days in advance of needing any food. Nobody at NSCR told me this. NOBODY. What about that is ridiculous? Further, because I dared to criticize the NSCR, I received an email accusing me of verbally abusing Sabrina, which they cannot prove because I didn't. If criticisms are deemed verbal abuse, our democracy may as well just die.

Located at parking level the same as kid's place. I think level 2. Generally they have most of the brochures for different areas of local or federal government help. Also they help you get most of the information you need in most areas.
