My Experience with Nisa Homes
Unfortunately, my experience with Nisa Homes was not what I expected. While the mission and purpose of the organization sound beautiful, the way I was treated made me feel unsupported and even judged during one of the most vulnerable times in my life.
There was a lack of genuine care, understanding, and professionalism from some staff members. I came for help, hoping to feel safe and uplifted, but instead I felt like just another case, not a human being with real pain and needs.
I pray no other woman or mother has to feel this way when seeking refuge. I hope Nisa Homes reflects deeply on how they treat the people they claim to serve.
This experience was deeply disappointing, but I know God sees everything. I’m a convert to Islam and you’re not showing me the good picture of Islam at all shame on you

Worst place for counselling. I don't know how people who are Muslim, counsellors and working at foundation can have so little compassion for the mental health of fellow Muslims and ones who find ways to stop counselling sessions rather than find ways to help. I so regret even trying to get counselling through them thqt I want to give up counselling altogether 🙁

As Salam W Alaykom. I would like to express my deep frustration with Nisa Homes. Since the beginning of Ramadan, I have been trying to get ahold of Nisa Homes to donate water, dates and non perishable foods for the women in the shelter(s). I called last week and spoke to someone named Sadaf who emailed me Laila’s phone number; Laila is responsible for coordinating donation drop offs/pick ups. I tried calling Laila over 15 times in a span of a week and not once did she answer or return my calls. I called Nisa Homes again to speak to Sadaf and no one answers!!! I replied to Sadaf’s email TWICE and no response!!! I tried calling the Scarborough location multiple times and no one answers!!! Ya Allah I hope you treat the women you’re helping better than you treat those who donate to your organization. I wanted to donate money on a monthly basis to Nisa Homes and build a professional relationship with them but after this experience, I will be looking elsewhere. May Allah help these women get in a better position.

A Muslim organization that doesn’t help Muslims. As many reviews state that no one ever answers the phone or gets back to them. Muslim women are in need and what is the organization doing? All organizers Twitter & instagram accounts clearly show liberal feminists , can’t count on such people with deviant ideology to help Muslimas in need.

Nisa homes does not feel the need of justice ,they just want to support the women in a wrong way by creating conflicts with their partners and nurturing women to be greedy towards acquiring benefits of this country. In other words, they teaches women to live for duniya not for Aakhirah. Being a women I strongly oppose this act from an organization who proclaim to work in the name of Allah swt.
I bet there are many women’s in Canada who just separates from their husband to use his money 💰 with false allegations (common reasons are domestic violence).
These women do not fear Allah Swt and openly put false accusations just to free themselves and get money.
I do not say all women are same ,there are a few women who really are miskeen and oppressed. But majority are not especially in a country like Canada who claim benefits by putting false allegations against their partners.
Being a women I do not support such type of people and I have seen men suffering because of this.
I was also a strong contributor to organisation like Nisa homes but after learning from various people about the internal operations of Nisa Homes I have stopped contributing to this organisation.
I strongly condemn this organisation and advise sisters to solve your problems within the extended family than being a victim of falsifying acts being perform by Nisa Homes.
May Allah guide such people
At last ,I recommend Nisa homes please look and listen to both side of the story .I am happy Nisa homes provide safety for women but recommend not to support such people.
Please FEAR Allah swt and do the right thing for the right person so that you will be benefitted in both worlds (Duniya & Aakhirah)

Amazing organization and helpful staff and volunteers who work at Nisa homes, they have helped numerous women transition through their problems and have provided a safe haven for many.

Their services to the community and towards women is amazing. One of the best women's shelter in Canada.
