I spent a wonderful eighteen months in New Hope, a place filled with incredible people. This community truly blessed us with their kindness and assistance as we settled into life in Canada. Mindy, the caring manager of New Hope, ensured the well-being of all residents. Her husband Lyle, the tech guru of New Hope, did his best to assist me in landing a job at one of the world's top tech companies, although it didn't ultimately work out. Nonetheless, he provided invaluable guidance on tailoring my resume and understanding the company's structure.

Yehuda, affectionately known as Hudi, resides on the second floor and seems to have a 360-degree view of everything. He's always pleasant, even in tough times, displaying remarkable calm and maturity. His wife Sonia is equally kind, assisting residents in overcoming childbirth challenges and simplifying matters for immigrant mothers as a professional midwife.

On the first floor, we have Sophia and Anthony, a wonderful couple who stand ready to support New Hope residents during their difficult moments. Derek, our versatile property manager, is a true jack-of-all-trades, always eager to lend a hand.

To top it off, my son grew up in this community, and we received an abundance of love. I mustn't forget to mention the wonderful boss, Ann, who is also incredibly kind. In the end, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the love and care we received at New Hope.

Smart, kind, compassionate people who truly care about their residents. I have no problem in recommending New Hope to any refugee family needing help to get settled into Canada. They provide affordable housing, life skills training, community living, situational guidance and a deep personal care for all folks. If you are a sponsor group, think about partnering with New Hope for your housing component as you bring someone to Canada.

More than simply a place for newcomers to Canada to have housing stability: New Hope is a truly special place. The staff care deeply about creating inclusive community where all are welcome and feel welcomed. Beyond simple harmony they demonstrate love by digging in and loving the authentic people where they are at both as individuals and as a collective community. When you add volunteers, programs and the creative spark required to do it all well in these unique times it's safe to say that there's no place quite like it.
