Why is the address a parking lot in Waterloo?

Based on other reviews and looking into their social it looks very suspicious. Did not leave my injured animals with them.

I found a baby mouse frozen and barely moving on the sidewalk. I took him in and contacted about 6 different wildlife rescue contacts and no one was able or willing to help. Vickie was quick to answer, provide advice, and arranged for me to drop the animal off. She made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process after originally feeling hopeless about the situation. Any of these negative reviews had unrealistic expectations, as this woman is already going above and beyond her capacity to help these animals. Overall, super thankful for Vickie.

Vicki has Always been more than helpful over the 30 yrs of knowing her. Spring is an extremely busy time of year for all of the rescues & rehabbers and people need to be more patient and understanding, They get hundreds of calls every year and not enough volunteers to help them out. The care for these dear souls that have been injured or orphaned is round the clock, it can be a demanding task physically and emotionally for the caregivers. Not too also mention all of the phone calls and emails that they also receive on a daily basis, they do the absolute best that they can. Always be kind and patient!!

Called Vickie and asked hoping she can help. She stated probably not but to continue.

Advised I had an injured bunny and her response was asking if I lived at a farm/rural area so I could “shoot it” because nothing can be done.

Was extremely rude during the call. Don’t get how she is allowed to volunteer or work for this organization.

Thank you for all your advice today with this little bird. I didn’t know what to do and you we so helpful. We are still working on getting his mom to find him but have him in the house for the night

Vickie has helped me with injured and orphaned animals several times. She has so much knowledge and many years of experience and will help people to help an animal they have found if you listen to her, trust and cooperate with her. I know she has many phone calls and as one person(not the Humane Society), she always does her absolute best to guide me on how to give an animal immediate attention if needed, and who to call or where to take it for help if needed. She is dedicated and works tirelessly with people to come to the best possible solution for an animal. It is always an upsetting situation to find an animal in need but she is the person I will call because she cares and knows more than I do and has only the best interest of the animal in mind.

I called regarding an injured rabbit we came across on a walk. The lady, Vickie, was unbelievably rude and almost yelling at me for asking questions. She actually made a comment about a voice mail I left at 8:30am in the morning "woke everyone up". Lost complete respect for this organization from talking to this shameful woman! How can you treat people the way you do and expect donations! I wish your supporters saw this side of you, Vickie! Thank goodness for the fine folks at the KW Humane Society!!!

Absolutely horrible. Talks to people as if there suppose to have the means to remove injured wildlife in the city and drive it to Waterloo. Also accuses people calling to much while they don't answer the phone but voicemail is full. Can't believe these people actually care about animal safety and welfare. Sad.
