I was very pleased to see that the NSBA helped spear-head opposition to the FinCEN regulations requiring every small business to disclose an unprecedented quantity of information about itself - including the mandate that you must update your records even if you happen to relocate or move. It is clear government overreach, and I happily joined their organization because of their opposition to these regulations. There is an attack on small business, and anyone who defends against that attack deserves our support.

People complaining here about the money fee forget that everything requires funding to do. They are usually the same people complaining about large lobbyists ruining everything. Well, the large lobbyists have million dollar checks from their corporate friends. Wouldn't you rather see your money go towards evening the gap?

Scam. If you have to pay to be on a "leadership council," it's not a real leadership council.

Edit: Their response clearly shows they are just in it for the money. They are not the real Small Business Association. They have someone email you, which looks legit at first. You cannot find a ton of information on them (which is the first read flag). Then they schedule a call. He barely asked me any questions about about halfway through he asked me if I wanted to join, if I have my card ready and the random price (which is different than it says online).

Like I said in my first review, it's a scam. If you have the credentials to be on a leadership council, you should not have to pay anything. Especially not $800 or whatever crazy amount it was.

Overall, joining the NSBA has provided me and other small-business owners with a range of benefits, including advocacy, networking, resources, expertise, savings, and a supportive community. It is important to assess these advantages in light of your specific business needs and goals to determine if membership is the right fit for you. It certainly has been beneficial to my firm.

NSBA is the best non partisan advocacy organization available today! Their regular legislative updates are so easy to understand and valuable. Their leadership councils discuss important and relevant topics for small business owners. I would highly recommend membership!

This organization has become very corrupt as they have spent massive amounts of time and money on partisan politics, instead of helping small businesses succeed.

You'd get more utility and satisfaction to just give a homeless person in the street the $950 "membership" fee. I'm not sure what we are a "member" of but it's not worth $9.50. My advice? Hang up when they call you asking for money.
