More than a cheese shop.

This place has very good sandwiches, and a great selection of frozen and pre-made foods. Lots of local brands along with quality decor items and kitchen supplies.

Probably the best food in Millbrook, and they don't even specialize in that.

Wonderfully stocked cheese counter with many Quebec and Ontario cheeses. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and most welcoming. Highly recommend a stop in Millbrook to visit the mercantile and walk the village and soak up the local history.

Had lunch outside on the shaded patio. Even at 33 degrees, staff was friendly and efficient. The Rueben was generous, with good tastes. We enjoyed both the red and white wine. Picked up our cheese box for this month and a gorgeous 'blue' from Quebec along with two pot pies- our favourites now. A great lunch visit at the Merc!

This shop was a delight to discover in the small town of Millbrook. Chock full of unique items such as clothing, jewellery, purses, soaps, ceramics and housewares. In the back there’s a well stocked cheese counter and surrounding that were other well curated choices for food lovers. The staff were lovely and friendly.

We absolutely love the Cheese of the Month Club. A great box of goodies every month with 2 selected cheeses and all sorts of goodies. We always make a fun picnic out of it with a nice bottle of Rose ;).

We are excited for our Month 5: A Roth Dairy's Buttermilk Blue, and they tell us that even if we don't typically like blues (my husband) we might enjoy this one as the tanginess of the buttermilk makes the blue notes pop. The second cheese is a glorious 9 year old aged white British style cheddar (his favourite).

Always different goodies in the box with the cheeses and this month, we can expect a cranberry pear & honey jam, green Sicilian Casteveltrano olives, 38 Degree gourmet crackers, and some mixed assorted nuts. Can't wait to pick up. Brings us great joy and also love browsing in the store.

FABULOUS! 10/10 for service, product and all around experience. Lance and Bernadette are wonderful - it feels like we've known them forever! Their catering elevates your function to the next level. The backyard oyster bar was a massive hit. The charcuterie was exceptional - delicious and unique, and looked like they'd been plucked from the pages of a magazine. And on top of the incredible food, just as people, they added so much to our event. A delight to work with! Highly recommend!

Worth the drive! I’m always looking for something new and I was not disappointed! Love the thoughtful selection of cheese and meats. The homemade creton was a nice surprise, too! Staff is great and the store is charming! Lots of gifts ideas too!

Beautiful friendly inviting town and a gem of an eclectic bazaar of fine offerings from an amazing selection of cheese to clothing an art. Worth the visit to Millbrook just to visit this store!!! Exquisite food along with lovely wares of all kinds.
We cannot say enough about this place so we will bring mention to the heart of the store, the owners and employees. We were meandering it seems everywhere aimlessly until we found this unassuming yet brilliant town. The gentleman behind the counter overheard us discussing our next destination and he offered up information that only insiders from the town would know. We discovered the town has a vibrant theatre community and turn of the century short term rentals and B&B’s including fantastic restaurants sure to please the most discerning pallet. This gentleman went above and beyond to take the time to share his amazing town and offered advise on where to find ourselves next. We will return and share our experience with everyone we know.
