It is very sad when there are no lights in the Grandstand. It is pitch black when you are trying to get out of there. It is very bad for people coming out of the stands when an event is over. Can see nothing and going down the stairs someone will be seriously hurt. Someone on the Board needs to step up and make a motion to get the Grandstand fixed up properly. Don't tell anyone there is NO MONEY to get things fixed. Let's make some improvements for a better and safer fair in the Grandstand!

Today I went to the Melfort Fair. It was great to see so many Canadians have a great time. Rides food people smiling laughing and screaming. It was a good time and made an old soldier like me feel proud and happy to see that we could get back to a regular life after such trying times. Urrah for Melfort and Saskatchewan.

Another lame fair in Melfort. Handful of mediocre rides, horses and trailers take up most of the space. Do chuck wagons and chariots on their own weekends so we can have a good fair! Almost $20 for admission to walk around on uneven ground and see dilapidated buildings and gross portapotties. Apparently drug addicts and homeless people live in the fairgrounds. Needles have been found.

The hall is showing its age, but it is a good meeting place for groups, and is easily accessible with no stairs for people who have mobility challenges.
