I absolutely adore Mamas for Mamas!!!
I can’t say enough about how amazing the Mamas team is!!
Vanessa absolutely changed our lives, she is an incredible human and went above and beyond to help us. I feel so fortunate that I was able to have this kind of service available for me and my family during this tough time. I don’t know what I would have done without Mamas- honestly.

Mamas is doing such important work and I am so thankful I can turn to them for help.
Mamas keep doing what you’re doing, you are helping so many lives!!!
100000% recommend this organization.
Support them, because they will support you!

I’ve got to say this is the most condescending, rude and disrespectful front staff I’ve ever met.
They don’t take donations unless “ they are brand new”, yes I was turned away! The new karma market is severely lacking in any sort of size selection, and the staff don’t seem to give a crap. “This is all we have” was never ever an excuse that was used when you had friendlier staff. The older front staff, and the volunteers went out of their way to help; I’d even have tubs brought out in my size (xl) these newer ones watch you like hawk! And NO extra lge or plus size clothing. If I want to be degraded and spoken to like I’m stupid I would have stayed with my ex. Very very unacceptable behavior Mamas. Thoroughly disgusted how emails (over 8 months) were never answered. The hampers are pitiful, and no garden or fresh produce what gives Is it just left to rot because I’ve never received any. And why did the items that were put outside on tables stop. It was a fantastic way to get moms to come in, and the selection was great. Almost every morning Roz and Kelly a would make a post.. now nothing. We can’t even put requests on a wish list anymore because no one gives a crap or wants to bother looking for items for mamas. It’s disgraceful the way the founder and staff have disgraced the true reason and nature Mamas started. Do better!

I needed a new mattress for my little girl. We’re low income and mamas came through with a brand new donated mattress for her! I feel very thankful for this. Their kindness was not unnoticed!

Dad's too! Mamas for mamas has been an incredible resource. Astoundingly helpful, supportive and kind. Took so much weight off my shoulders having someone to help navigating the system and a support in my corner. I never thought of contacting them because I am "not the mama" but at the end of the day single parents have to be both some days. If you are a single father don't hesitate to reach out they help us too.

Wow what a difference since last I went, and not in a good way. It used to be such a welcoming, open place, where I felt comfortable going and mingling with all the people there. There was laughter and talking and joy before. Now it is cold, sad, and anxiety provoking. I walked in ans immediately felt like an inconvenience. There were two people working but I was barely greeted with a glance. I had to show my ID and then was given the rules. It felt like I was being watched constantly, like they were thinking I was stealing. This is supposed to be a place for moms to come and get help for themselves and their children
There is barely anything for kids, especially anyone bigger than a size 5T. There are no toys, limited shoes etc. The sizing for the moms is no longer really size inclusive, even I had trouble finding things in a large extra large, and what I did find was white, which is not super helpful when I have a busy, active, messy five year old.

Then the food hamper. Yes we have allergies so I was expecting not as much as the normal person would get. But what I received was more than disappointing. Not even enough to make a meal. A bag of mushrooms, a bag of beets, a small bag of lettuce and and four bags of small potatoes. That is it, that is all. Can't even make a pot of soup with that.

I just truly don't understand how, when they were struggling financially, they were able to provide as much as anyone could possibly need. But after the fires and all the massive donations and the amounts of money they have received it could have gone downhill so quickly. I am just truly disappointed in how it is and I hope things change back to the way it was. Moms need help and this is not rhe kind of help they need. It is hard enough to request any form of help when you are struggling. To then be made to feel like an inconvenience, a thief, less than, because I need that help is more than I can take. Just very disappointed

I'm truly impressed by the remarkable team at "Mamas for Mamas." Their warmth and genuine care create an atmosphere brimming with positive energy. The organization serves as a powerful and tight-knit community, extending their support to numerous mamas, evacuees, firefighters and first responders. Their dedication provides essential assistance and vital living supplies to those in need. Thank you, thank you.

I've seen Mamas for Mamas begin as just a online group, to becoming Canada wide, which is a huge accomplishment! I won't deny that they have done a lot of good, they even helped my family during a really challenging time.
But things have changes a lot over the last year. People that I REALLY looked forward to seeing in the office or Karma Market are gone. They were the people that MADE Mamas for Mamas so damn welcoming! I struggle a lot with anxiety, and the ones that greeted me knew this and were always so patient. They knew if I came to their doors, I needed help.
I totally get they are over-run with people needing help, but how is it possible to get into the Karma market if they have "regulars" who book ahead and don't leave spots for others?
What about the Facebook group? It used to be managed so much better, and now things slide. There is no accountability for people selling items, or for the ones that are constantly asking for stuff.
I've sent a complaint in due to one of the staff members making myself and my mom feel so unwelcome. There was never a response.
I've called into the social worker department as I needed resources and support. I've heard nothing back.
Where did the family feeling go?
I miss when Shelayne, Kelly, Roselyn and Darcie were there.
Why is the turn around with staff so much lately?

My husband and I went to donate my knitting yesterday which keeps me sane. I love to knit and crochet. We were received with much love. This place is so wonderful for mamas. We had a great tour of the place. Congratulations!!!
