Another NGO taking our tax dollars and doing what they want. The recent episode of them loading vans full of tents and stuff to set up ANOTHER river encampment is shameful. Weeks of volunteer work by the community and paid government employees cleaning up the area only to have them bring back the encampments!! Then they lie saying the police told them to do once they got questioned. How can they be trusted? You just gotta wonder if they’ve been handing out tents and stuff for years, perpetuating and encouraging the problem using our tax dollars against us, and that this is the first time they actually got caught doing it. Wash, rinse and repeat.

I deeply respect and support the work being done at the Main Street Project, their efforts to help those struggling with addiction and homelessness are critical and truly life-changing.

That said, the location at 661 Main is challenging. While the service is essential, its impact on the surrounding area makes the space feel largely unusable to the public and raises safety concerns, especially in a part of the city that could otherwise contribute to tourism and community growth.

There needs to be a better balance between providing support services and maintaining a safe, accessible environment for everyone.

Wonderful facility helping those most in need! Will accept any food donations including already made foods (many shelters won't accept food that is already cooked or prepared) - I have taken many extra foods from events there and it is always welcome.

It is not affiliated with a religious organization so clients are helped without the requirement to adopt a certain religious practice.

Alot of rude staff, contacted lice in there and if you didn't have money to pay for the treatment ( my therapist told me not to bring any money) you went without!!! There was no social distancing with Covid and the place was filthy. Wash my floor when I got there and the water was black, makes me wonder if anything was sanitized, Im guessing not. NOT reccomend, or go if you want lice

The front staff lady was so so rude. Why is she working there? People are nervous enough and she makes it harder. No compassion what so ever there

Less talked about than Siloam Mission, but MSP provides integral services to people.
