Mackenzie Village – A Basecamp Worthy of Your Best Ski Days

If you’re heading to Revelstoke and looking for the perfect ski crash pad, Mackenzie Village development is it. Located in the newest completed complex, this place has everything you want before you even set foot in the condo—underground parking, ski storage, and first-floor shopping (because nothing says après like grabbing a six-pack and some Advil on your way upstairs). The coffee shop and grocery store are literal steps away, so you don’t even have to pretend you’re a morning person to grab a latte before hitting the slopes.

Inside the Condos

This two-bedroom spot is mint—spacious enough for four to five people, with two nicely appointed bathrooms, full-size laundry, and a sleek kitchen that, while fully stocked, we mostly used as a staging area for beer and snacks. The real star of the show? The hot tub. After 20,000 vertical feet of skiing, there’s nothing better than sliding into that thing and questioning every life choice that led to your burning quads.

We even got the local seal of approval—our ski instructor owns a condo in Phase 1 and had nothing but good things to say about the community. If a pro chooses to live here, that tells you something.

Let’s Get to the Important Stuff:
• Beds: Plush Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattresses—basically a hug for your sore ski legs. You’ll sleep like a rock.
• Location: The closest place to stay without being inside the resort. By the time you walk to your car and exit the garage, you’ll already be halfway to the Revy parking lot.
• Supplies: Unlike U.S. Airbnbs where you get exactly one roll of toilet paper and a passive-aggressive note about rationing it, here you’re set for the week—TP, paper towels, trash bags, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent… everything.
• Other Perks:
• Top-notch communication—messages were answered within minutes.
• Easy check-in with clear instructions (because yes, there’s a different code for each entry).
• Zero obnoxious signs—just two sensible ones: a table tent with general info and a straightforward set of hot tub rules (because no one wants to share a tub with a rule-breaker).
• No ridiculous cleaning demands. They don’t make you strip the beds or deep clean the place before you leave—just put your trash in the bin inside the condo (not outside where it becomes a bear buffet) and start the dishwasher.

Final Verdict

I’d book this place again in a heartbeat. In fact, this ranks in the top three Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. So, reserve with confidence… unless you’re trying to snag my week next year. In that case, look elsewhere.
