Wonderful, funky B&B in fantastic location! Would give 5* but room could have been cleaner 😕 sorry to say. Most interesting decor we have ever seen. Every nook & cranny has a surprise. Take the time to look around. Our suite had a wonderful screened sitting room where you could relax with the breeze blowing through listening to the birds and crickets, just heaven in the humid heat of August! Very relaxed help yourself policy was refreshing. Maria was friendly and her cinnamon buns were great! Just around up the hill from all restaurants, shops & The Church Brew Pub! Highly recommend.

This was an absolutely perfect place to stay in Wolfville with friends. It's located on a quiet street, only a 1 or 2 minute walk to get to the best cafes and shops. The Inn is filled with eclectic furniture and vintage art, and the Locust Suite was very comfortable and spacious. 2 separate sitting rooms in our suite! Thoughtful, comfort details at every turn (who doesn't like extra coffee...). When I travel I like having this private, self-contained suite with friends or family, but for people looking to meet other guests or hang out in the main part of the Inn, there is a large kitchen, living area and casual dining space. Thanks for the hospitality Jen!

Such a charming old house with amazing & unique decorations. Lisa, the owner, is a creative and wonderful host! There is also a coffee bar and Binky’s Donuts also sold at the Inn, also Lisa’s business! There is a great communal sitting area with games as well as an outside sitting area including washer toss. There are two rooms, both so well decorated and welcoming with reasonable rates and breakfast included! Can’t say enough about our amazing experience and we will be back!

You'll never find a better location in Wolfville; only steps away from the downtown. The room was huge, comfortable and very cute.
Waking up to fresh hot donuts and coffee outside your door is such a great way to start the day, then step downstairs for a delicious made to order breakfast. Lisa was a friendly energetic host, who enjoys talking to and meeting new people. She was always asking if she could do anything to make our stay more enjoyable, and recommending local businesses. We fully recommend, and will stay again.

Can't speak highly enough of our experience here. The rooms are eclectic and spacious, with many artistic design choices made with care by the owner. Lisa will consider your every need, providing coffee in the morning, her famous donuts, and a few other surprises that I won't spoil. An updated century home with oodles of character in the heart of Wolfville, this will be a night we won't soon forget.

If you are looking for a hidden Gem in the middle of the city this is your place. Stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was great, fridge was extremely well stocked with lots of options for children .The room was huge and the bathroom amenities were more than you could ask for. Extremely clean, 5 minute walking distance from downtown. Would highly recommend this place if you are staying in Wolfville. The owner and manager were a pleasure to deal with.

Locust & Starr Inn was the reception venue for my wedding this year (September 2020) and it was absolutely perfect! Because of the pandemic, I had a very small wedding, but I still wanted to have a fancy celebration afterwards. Lisa helped me connect with a local chef and we planned a wonderful three-course dinner at her Inn. On the day-of, we had champagne and canapes outside, and then we moved into the Inn’s vibrant dining room to eat. The space is beautiful, and Lisa added many special touches for us! We had music, delicious food, and great fun! My new husband and I were able to take off at the end of the evening and some of our guests were able to stay right there and sleep for the night. No need to drive home after a night of celebrating! Lisa served us and made sure everything ran smoothly – and it did! She is a terrific host with a gorgeous Inn! And I was a happy bride!

An old character home, whimsically decorated with old/antique items. I think that this was our best B&B so far on our trip to Nova Scotia. The house is downtown near the restaurants and walking paths. Our room was quite large and well equipped with all the conveniences. The breakfast was continental with a good selection of baked goods, breads, fruit, juices, yogurt and coffee. There was no set time for breakfast so you could get up early or sleep in late and still enjoy breakfast.
