Legal Assistance Windsor helped me to get what I needed. Highly recommend to have representation for rental tribunal hearings. Unfortunately my lawyer was condescending when she spoke to me on the phone, seemed to make my simple case more complicated, and ignored my emails and phone calls, but the important aspect of helping me to stay in my apartment was achieved and all worked out great in the end. Perhaps I would have had the same achievement without representation.

I have been trying to call this place for months and couldn’t get through to anyone because I have a hearing coming up and needed legal representation. I left a voicemail with Shelley Gilbert weeks ago and she never called me back! I leave a voicemail for the intake worker to see if there is anything they can do to even help me prepare, and she calls me back four days later. When I speak with the intake worker named Sara, she hung up on me! I asked to make a formal complaint and she hung up on me. Then I call back and their supervisor cannot even take my complaint. They told me to leave another voicemail. They also aren’t taking anymore clients and for hearings you need to book like months in advance. They won’t even talk to you. They need more student volunteers unless that’s some lie...This place is ridiculous and they should be helping people and all the receptionist can say is “I am so sorry you have been going through this all by yourself....”. In this community you have to do everything on your own and no one cares. I have done everything prior to this hearing by myself so I guess I am going to represent myself too. I have no one to come with me or support me at all. I did all of my own paperwork and everything. No one cares about anyone but themselves today. These people can’t even get back to anyone in a reasonable time and claim they are so “busy“. Meanwhile, all I could hear in the background as I waited for 10 minutes to be told no one can take my complaint was laughing and conversation.

Tried to get a hold of Shelley Gilbert, I guess she’s too busy exploiting a young woman who is a survivor of human trafficking for her own benefit and attention. She should be helping her HEAL. It happened to her not long ago and she’s pushing her to tell her story to every media outlet. She should be ashamed as a social worker!

they guided me through the process for court. unfortunately i have to rep myself because of government guidelines but they did as much as possible to help me. they answer all my questions and are very patient. im thankful.

Mr Mason was great. There are limitations as to what they can do on your behalf, but considering the services are free, I am very pleased with my experience.

They help with legal problems for free. It depends on which law student you get assigned to your case but in general they are good! Keep up the good work guys!!! Thank you for your service to the community!!!

I am appalled at their professionalism!!! Just called to ask a question on how I can go about seeking legal advise for a case I have in toronto and LITERALLY THE WOMAN TOLD ME "I CANT HELP YOU CALL SOMEONE ELSE"!!!!! I have never in my life had such a RUDE IGNORANCE!!!!! I would NOT recommend ANYONE call them for advise
