what a great off-grid place! Our cabin was immaculate - on one of the coldest June days I've ever seen.... we had comfy beds, quilts and comforters more than adequate for the cold that rushed down the Kluane mountains. Very secure, well appointed with a jackery battery backup unit, the cleanest outhouse set up I've ever seen. Too much to write about - but great experience all around. Great hosts. The little details: himalyan salt and pepper in grinders that work! Will be back:)

We did not want to leave! Roger and his daughter Sage were great hosts for our photography group. They have found the perfect balance between eco-friendliness and comfort. The cabins are cosy, the breakfast baskets a real feast, and the facilities are well maintained. We definitely will be back.

Kathleen. Absolutely lovely early spring getaway. Well placed for daily adventures around Kluane to Sheep Mtn or the Pass. Service was great. Roger was very attentive, making sure we had wood and water for our little birthday treat. Kitchen surprisingly well appointed with cookware, you may want to bring a knife of your own.

Fantastic stay here! Roger was very communicative and helpful. The cabin was clean, well supplied, and very pleasant place to stay. We only wished we could have spent more time!

Our stay at Kluane Cabins was phenomenal. It was our first time in the Yukon and at Kluane National Park. The location of these cabins was perfect. Roger was a very welcoming host and helped us get settled into our accommodation. The view from our cabin was so nice, and really made us feel immersed in the nature there. The cabin was also decorated very tastefully. We were a short walk away from the main washrooms/showers and also had our own private outhouse very close to our cabin. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation close to the park!

Thoreau went to the woods to live deliberately; we went to Kluane Cabins to experience the outdoors. Nature—wind, trees, ravens, mountains—awakened our senses and refreshed our spirits. Who could ask for anything more?

Roger is a wonderful host who attentively and promptly answered all our many questions, and provided a cozy and clean cabin for us to use as a base for hiking in the area.

Considering that the property is off grid, the infrastructure is not bad: flush toilets, hot showers, and practically unlimited water (although all of the above were external to the cabin), and an equipped kitchen with a gas stove.

The beds were comfortable (although a bit short for me; I'm 189cm) and the duvets were warm.

Given how late the sun sets in summer, it would have been convenient to have proper blackout blinds to keep the sun out in the evenings and mornings, but during our stay the rooms were pretty bright most of the night.

It's important to realize that the area is absolutely crawling with mosquitos. It's not really possible to hang out outside, as the swarm will immediately descend. It's impeccable to wear long sleeves at all times and be covered in DEET 24/7 to not turn into a pin cushion (and even then bites are inevitable).

The nearest shop is in Haines Junction, which is not extremely well equipped, so it's useful to shop on the way (ideally in Whitehorse). There is, however, a well stocked bakery "Village Bakery" in Haines Junction that serves bread, cake, pastry, coffee, and even beer for desperate times!
