Was told that the dog was people and pet friendly. Huge lie. Not friendly to meet anyone. Barks an snaps at them. Has attacked an lost all 3 fights it started with the house dog. The shelter stinks like cat piss that hasn't been cleaned in along time. We came from out of town to adopt. The dog was covered in dog shit. Yeah staff was friendly. Doesn't make up for the lies. P.s. if you know nothing about the animal, don't say false stuff. It's name is Kaia( lab cross). Pure an utter disappointment. P.s. it will bite humans . It bit the 1 an only person that would keep her. Has serious resource guarding issues. Not a family dog at all. Not fully house trained. Jumps on people. It's scared of its own shadow. Good for a single person, no kids, no other pets. We tought her sit, stay, paw shake. Was working on heal an off leash recall. P.s. not spayed.

Went to look at dogs and some grumpy old lady told me they don’t let people look at dogs unless you know what dog you want to look at then told me to go to the Kitimat humane society that they have dogs that I could look at I punched the name in to google and it sends me back to the grumpy old lady who said I can’t look at dogs lol

These folks really care about the animals in their possession, and I felt they went through a thorough screening process to assure I took home the best fit pet for my home. Thank you for everything you do for the pets of the north west ❤️
