A great community and lovely property. The housing fee is quite affordable and overall the units are nice if older. The community itself is quite friendly, accepting, and diverse - and is also very active.

Keegano is a place with a amazing amount of opportunity but lacks a vision for the future. We did not stay for long, but had some amazing community experiences with our neighbors. We worked together on some projects, and had many firepits and drinks on the patio. This part of Keegano was amazing to experience.

Unfortunately this was overcast with massive issues with the property manager. He was very rude to us. He also required us to do things we were told other tenants didn't have to do when moving out (including repainting the basement floor). He was overbearing in meetings, and basically made sure to have his way or the highway. This erodes the very core of what makes a co-op special. The idea you collectively take the load and work together is fantastic. Until a few personalities work to destroy the very soul of what made Keegano special. Worrying more about personal agenda's instead of the collective good.

A last note. As a person with 15+ years of construction experience. The method of repair, the cost before quality thought process is going to expense this place thousand upon thousands of dollars in the upcoming years. I am not sure if the bleeding will stop, unless the mentality changes. Let the experts do good work, for a good price. It will pay for itself for years to come.

The units are older and reasonably priced. Most units run for around $1100/month and include heat, water, washer/dryer and a parking spot. For this reason, many tenants have been there a long time and when units do come available you must apply to the Coop Board. That said, there is a Property Mgr on site. There are meandering paths throughout and for this reason most parking spots are not in front of the units.
