we stayed at JoeAnna's house for a week and it was fantastic. the staff were a pleasure to interact with and very friendly. The house is kept clean and organized making it very easy to navigate and work with. When staying here we felt relaxed after being at the hospital all day and we were really able to unwind, make food and mingle. Other guests were very friendly and it was nice to share stories and chat. You can tell they work hard to make it feel like home and they are doing a fantastic job

Thank you to everyone at JoeAnna's house for your hard work!

It was great to have a place to stay near the hospital. Clean and a lovely place to call home. Having my toddler there though seemed like an inconvenience. The place is very quiet and they have a lot of rules around toddlers staying. They're all written down, which you need to sign. Rules were - stay within arms reach, don't engage in conversation with other guests unless unitiated by them first, can't be in the kitchen area unless in a high chair. My toddler had just arrived, and we were having lunch. She was sitting on the window ledge, which is almost like an extra seat at the table and the one staff member wanted to put my two year old in a highchair to "save the clean windows from fingerprints" I was pretty blown away, my response was that if it was a big deal, I could wash the windows after. My husband and daughter ended up going home after one night, and I stayed solo with our son in the NICU. It was just easier. We had stayed for 2 months at Ronald Mcdonald's house, which is very child friendly, so this was a big change. It's very clean and a beautiful space. I had a couple things in the fridge in my designated bin and Joanne actually removed my bin for someone else to use it because "you barley had anything in there". I was there about 12 hours. It was the following day my toddler was arriving, so that was hard. Other than the toddler situation, it was a lovely place. Very thankful to have an affordable space to stay while needing it.

This home was my soft place to land after a month in ICU with my mom. If I didn’t have the AMAZING room to REST in I wouldn’t have been able to stay by my moms side until she win her battle with septic shock . I believe my mom is alive today thanks to the incredible ICU team and JoeAnna’s House
Thank you so much to the Awesome volunteers and team. I got lots of hugs and comfort.I made some new friends with other families and we enjoyed a few amazing cooked meals where we were tended to 100% I arrived from Mexico and only had a few clothes, luckily I was able to wash them weekly. I hope to stay again while my mom finishes rehab and transitions back to her home in the next 2-3 weeks.
Thank you ladies; your work is greatly appreciated and you should be proud of the standards you uphold.
. Gracias Amigas❤️❤️❤️

This would of been 5 star but there was issues we had staying at the house. It is beautiful, close to the water and very close to the hospital. The day staff was great to be around and talk too but the night shift and weekend person's were a bit of a different story. It was almost like they were being made to volunteer. Closing the kitchen down an hour before too clean when its supposed to be shut down from 10pm until 11pm. Being told rudley that we can't eat after 10pm by a cranky staff had me baffled because my pregnant wife likes to eat in the middle of the night we couldn't cook. They were trying to keep it clean for the morning so it looked like they did stuff instead of sitting behind there desk on the pc or cell phone.
Not being able to drink or eat in our room while my wife was pregnant was very hard. We felt more like we were a nuisance too them then guests. It is great too have for a couple nights but if your looking to stay for longer i do not advise. You become unwanted vary Fast!

This place is a sanctuary for families in the worst situations. When your loved one is fighting for their life you don't have to worry about anything. You can cook, do laundry, work out, be alone or seek company.
The hospital is a short walk away. The staff and volunteers are unbelievably caring, kind, sensitive, and understanding. The atmosphere somehow radiates hope.
I hope I don't have to go back, but I'm forever grateful to have been able to stay in this safe haven. Every hospital needs a place like JoeAnna's House.

Superb facility, spent 2 1/2 weeks here. Accommodations are the best and cost cannot be beat. Come and go as you need. Puzzles to keep your mind on calm things. Helps with the stress of why you are there. 1st class kitchen so you can cook whatever you want. Only downfall, I like the occasional red wine so had to find a different location to enjoy. The ladies are amazing as well as the volunteers.

My stay at Johanna's House was as humbling an experience that I could ever possibly put into words.
I had the honour of meeting the amazing people that make everyone’s day to day stories feel more bearable.
Some very happy and blessed and some like my story with my wonderful brother-in-law who experienced the utmost sadness and loss.
The kindness this home showed us was beyond words…so I say thank you from myself Anthe Tsakiris & my dear brother-in-law Greg Woolhether ❤️❤️
If you ever need kind arms to give you a hug and sincerely care please look towards (Joeanna’s House).❤️
