Трейл начинается с непримечательной парковки и проходом под мостом. Весь маршрут около 5 километров. Живописные морские пейзажи , яхты и катера придают колорит. На берегу много красивых камней и ракушек, морских звезд и маленьких крабов.

Cool rock formations at low tide and lots of little crabs in the shallow pool. Nice walk along the ocean with a few places to go down onto the rocks. Great view at the point plus seeing Nanaimo across the channel.

Beautiful trail along a stunning part of Vancouver Island. See views on downtown Nanaimo, the mountains, sea and maybe even a BC ferry.
Trail is not stroller or wheelchair accessible as it has multiple sets of stairs. Takes about 1-1.25 hours to complete while walking with minimal stops.
There are a few benches, logs or rocks that you could sit on if you need a break or would like to picnic somewhere along the way.

First time visiting this trail with our Walking group. The weather wasn’t the most cooperative, luckily only a little bit of rain. I can only imagine how gorgeous would be with sunny blue skies. Although the beginning of the trail is a bit noisy due to the close proximity to the ferry terminal and the mill, once you are past that, it is quiet and peaceful. I would rate it as a medium trail, definitely lots of stairs and in wet weather, some of the trail could be quite slippery. The views of downtown Nanaimo, and at the far end of the trail, you can see Gabriola Island. We were lucky enough to see two ferry boats passing in the channel. I would like to go back in the summer when there’s more leaves on the trees. There is a fair sized parking lot, and also a few intricate carvings on the rocks. Also found a geocache.

The Park is pretty cool, in a strange industrial area. Fun little path to do if you're waiting for the ferry.
