*Update: I have made inquiries into their part of the Abduction due to the following:
Abduction

283 (1) Everyone who, being the parent, guardian or person having the lawful care or charge of a child under the age of 14 years, takes, entices away, conceals, detains, receives or harbours that child, whether or not there is an order referred to in subsection 282(1) in respect of the child , with intent to deprive a parent, guardian or any other person who has the lawful care or charge of that child, of the possession of that child, is guilty of

(a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years; or

(b) an offence punishable on summary conviction.

They should be ashamed of themselves. They're a cancer to society, at least in my brief encounter with them, as they tend to want to hide in the background and conspire against you. I only hope that they have done some good somewhere and they can be stopped before destroying anymore families. I do not have proof yet, but suspect them of being part of the kidnapping of my children; that will be determined by the courts. They are definitely pro-woman, definitely anti-man and anti-family. They will do anything in their power to break up a family. They do not care about the truth or circumstances. They are disrespectful, very judgmental, very very manipulative (both verbally and with their actions), unaware of what is happening in society and conspire behind your back to get whatever they want. They work with the Langley Community Services Society to destroy families. My wife would always be upset after talking with them and I wonder what threats or other actions they took to remove my wife? I contacted the police, as my wife and kids just disappeared. They do not care about their effect on children, only about ripping a woman away from her family, no matter the costs to health or well being of anyone, including the woman they do this to. All this was with only a brief encounter, as they don't wish to communicate and their obvious biases were easy to identify when the first words they spoke were argumentative. We have been married for almost 10 years and there never has been any abuse or anything to warrant such actions. I have taken care of children (I have 5, including 3 who are adults now); also including many nieces, nephews and friend's children. I have also taken care of thousands of children I have coached and taught. I have been involved for more than a decade in schools as a parent and served on many committees to help with children's education. I have also been a Peer Mentor at college and studied psychology. Never have I had this happen to me. It's shocking, alarming and very disheartening. I love my wife and kids very much and hope that they will understand that we are God's children and brought together by Him. We deserve to be a happy family together, not ripped apart in such an awful manner.

So many great knowledgeable staff at Ishtar. They are a big support. If you are thinking of contacting Ishtar but feel shy, don't worry, they are great!

They helped me and my family greatly after we ran away from my abusive father. The programs there made me feel comfortable and safe. I am now living a happy and heathy life, and Ishtar was a place that helped me get there. Also its next to a bakery, so it smells really nice.

That other shelter they have is just horrible. Unprofessional, disheveled women with severe problems are running that miserable place.

All the abused women are back with their abusers.
A complete waste of resources.

Amazing staff and programs. My little one loves visiting "Rena's House." Everybody is super friendly and the programs are always well organized.
