Awefull place with unprofessional childish staff. During my long time here waiting to see an ophthalmologist I overheard a group of nurses on the graveyard shift loudly mocking and imitating patients for daring to ask how long it would be before some one would be able to help them. I was really disgusted by that behavior. They were so loud that the on duty Doctor Kim in a nearby treatment room came out to tell them she couldn’t hear their patient over their joking around. Place more resembles a nursery than a hospital.

Zero stars. Patient oppression and physical abuse. Staff from multiple units forced me to take the wrong medication and dosage for my body weight multiple times. Causing me to be unconscious again and again. Staff made rude and scary remarks when I turn my head away. Taking away my smartphone, general phone access, and contact with my family or friends to help. Signed my name wrong on health documents. Took all my clothes away too and threw away my toothbrush I brought from home. Please, avoid Richmond Hospital at all costs. If you're not sick they'll definitely make you become very sick if you're not lucky. I regret greatly not choosing to go to Vancouver General.

Shout out to the cast clinic’s crew! The nurses and associates I have met were full of sympathy, kindness and efficiency, for example, very good smiles, prompt replies on emails and they also prioritised whoever in pain. My greatest appreciation is my physician provided me more than enough follow-up appointments even he is super busy. God bless you all.

Aug 15 - 11:55 pm.I saw One of their nurses on their day off they bring their husband without any waiting. They give them room and check out and I was waiting here for four hours. Nobody called me and I was super sick so basically Richmond Hospital has not following the rules. They help their staff family first doesn’t no matter who is waiting in the waiting room

Unfortunately, my nosebleed started around 11:45 PM on July 15, 2025. Realizing it wouldn't stop, I called my nephew and asked him to take me to the hospital. This time, around 1:00 AM on July 16, 2025, we went to Richmond Hospital. Half an hour after registering, a nurse took my blood pressure and then drew blood for the test. The staff was prompt and attentive. I learned there was only one doctor there. Apparently, the wait for a doctor is also long here. Some of the people waiting were very angry and reactive. One patient who was causing a stir by shouting was gently attended to by security guards. Within an hour, the nurse returned and took my blood pressure again. We were then moved to a single room. Around 8:30 AM, a young, kind, and caring doctor came to examine me and confirmed that my test results were good. My doctor recommended using Vaseline to keep the inside of my nose moist (just at the beginning of my nostrils, not inside). He told me to come to the hospital immediately if I had another bleeding lasting longer than 20 minutes. I wanted to share my experience at this hospital with you. Apparently, the problem is the same everywhere: there are very few doctors in the country. However, I couldn't help but think that the skilled workforce who come to Canada for various reasons and are unable to practice their professions could somehow be integrated into the system. I wish us all a healthy life and never have to go to the emergency room.

Wow I never thought a hospital like Richmond Hospital existed here in Canada, I’m from Abbotsford BC but I got a day surgery in there and let me tell you … this hospital is AMAZING from start to end , all the staff, Drs. And nurses were FANTASTIC. Made my surgery even better . 🙏🙏 thank you so much. Big shout out to the nurse Angela she is fabulous and so caring 🥰 we need more nurses like her .🙏👌

I went to Emergency and accidentally left a library book on my bed when I left. I called 20 minutes later, realizing my mistake, and was told there was no book. Only the housekeeping staff were in the cubicle, and everyone at the hospital vouches for them, but I know of lots of things in the past that have gone "missing" after they have come in to clean. There should be some kind of security check when they leave, but there isn't. Also, housekeeping will not return my calls when I try to reach them. What happened to honest people? This was a $43.00 mistake. Shame on you Richmond Hospital staff!

The nurses were incredibly gentle and attentive, making sure my wife was comfortable while keeping us informed at every step. The doctors demonstrated remarkable expertise and dedication, carefully explaining the treatment plan and addressing all our concerns with patience and clarity.

The entire team worked tirelessly and with great efficiency, even amidst the challenges of a busy emergency setting. Their unwavering commitment to their patients is truly inspiring, and I am deeply grateful for their hard work and empathy during such a stressful time.
